Sorry I missed the one point being I hope more will have their kids using helmets as hard as they are able to fit properly, though young kids with bicycles even with trainer wheels will wear halmets SINCE it is pretty well established that the kids, besides the parents on bicycles to yes the m/c riders must wear proper helmets.

I thought similiar mini-scooters would go over well here. Possibly the problem is/was that this town is sort of beside the Okanagan Lake steep uphill to a flatter part used for the business people to schols to hospital, unfortunately not being used according to the B.C. Govt, along with some condos to normal home lots THEN uphill again to another lot of homes.
True we do not have many sidewalks (kids can use the mini-scooters on them) so only a few around the schools & the business area. So kids are forced to use the paved roads & guess parents are worried about their children & the crazy sort of car/truck drivers plus all the time they have been pumping into the kids to NOT GO ON THE ROAD.
Possibly that was the failure of them, yet parents to kids, to grandparents use the roads for their evening/daily walk along with a child or two. Hauling a mini-scooter up-hill would be a down-fall in the latter.

I only cycle in my area for my health so know were I am going & how to get back. THOUGH I can see in the future I will have to purchase a sensible GBS to be used when riding my motorcycle to also when driving my SUV, BUT only when pulled to the curb side of the road, for safety to check where next to go.

The colours of her clothing, in this photo, are tops to my eye. As for appearance, hair, or such she is a good looking gal in my mind. Congratulations to her & best in the future.

I am like HawaiiMan that I cannot stand lap dogs. Have had a few dogs, but you need someone else in the house to take care of even a decent sized dog & being a bachelor all my life THEN no dogs for me.
Dressing them up is really the pits in my mind.

True the figure skating is ahead of most other sports, especially like competition speed-skating. Though a Silver is pretty outstanding one has to admit.

I hope that so many of the Japanese people to those also living in Japan will injoy the art of skating. It is, without question, a good excercise to sport to learn. I wish them the best. Really the Silver medal by Mao Asada, in the mind of many of us should have been Gold, but judges have the final say.

Good photo of some lovely looking musicans. It will be interesting to know if they are vocalists or musicans & how they progress. YES again they are an attractive lot & I wish the best to them in the future years.

Good move in said product. I can see them being in demand in more then one way.
I have one made (extremely rare in Cdn.) of terry-cloth pf a dark blue colours & full sleeves to down to below the calf of my legs & yes even a hood on it. IDEAL for me if someone hammers on my door & I have just had a shower. So then toss away the towel & on goes my Kimona, like bit of gear, to answer the door.

I missed the bit if the shooter was left handed. Still nothing on the caliber for it had to be a short gun & rarely is anyone accurate from 15 yds back to 25yds with a snubbie or Saturday Nigh Special. So you can see his reason of shooting at that close distance.
Still what was that going to get the shooter in shooting at two guards with protective gear & fully trained with the side-ams they carry? Rather stupid to say the least.

I am baffled over m/c riders that just have to show speeding to accidents that happened on You Tube which they feel is FUN, especially if they have caused the accident like in doing wheelies to stoppies to other stunts on the pulic owned roads.
Yet I type as a rider since '46 which also includes 42 yrs of all forms of dirt competition to some yrs of road racing. PLUS several of the sportbikes I have in my garage can clock up to 138KPH but not the suicide pace of the rider mentioned.

Good action photo for sure and do agree the gals look great. It will take some time of practice to additional skating before they can be trouble to the South Koreans, so I am wishing the best for I use to speedskate in the North American style of Mass Starting rather then the Olympic for in the last year, which is the better of the two & we had to learn to stoke differently.

I hope that Mother Earth is over her bit of rippling in so many places by the sea shores for there is not a think use humans can do about it.
Still do remember that on the Pacific Coast side of North America is the BIG ONE that will come in a while to hit California & right up into the Pacific coast terrain of Vancouver Island to Vancouver itself & even farther north. Which is enough to give one a bit of a worry.

No wonder with the maze of cameras he was a bit shocked & looked so humble, for it is amazing he was able to take that on. I am sure if any of us had a maze of cameras at us then good chance we would have gone down with a ruddy heart attack. Let alone all the strain he is under.

All males to females performed in perfection. When seeing he Asian gals practice, on the TV, I thought they had such slim limbs, but one into their routeen they were simply AMAZING.
We had a good young woman skating for Canada that her mother had died juet the other day--yes in Vancouver to incouge her daughter when ice figure skating.
Anyone that has lost their mother knows how the heart simply brakes, so how she did so well is beyond me.

Still one must admit that we are not only looking at some of the best pairs, dancing, to solo competitors that are in figure skating but some beauty as well. This is not something we see almost daily for it is once every four years if we are lucky & YES the males & females are simply amazing skaters to what those some 8 or 12yrs ago could accomplish so it is amazing to so many of us.

Have to admit I ONLY saw the Cdns, Americans, to Russians in the short program by TV & without question the Cdns were outstanding.
At the final it would have been gold for Americans, Russians or Cdns. At least this time a French woman was not a judge & gave bad points to the Cdns & more to the Russians in hope of better points to the French two. She admitted after, but errors or whatever cannot be changed at the Olympics be it Summer or Winter games.

Badge213 I agree with you & some of the others that the woman put her heart into it. I have been in many competitions of my sports, but never before the maze that those at the Olympics were up agains.
Just look at the failurs of fellow Cdns to others & it is pretty hard for the competitors to accept. Especially when Provincial to Federal people were counting on a maze of gold medals when in actual fact even to win a broze medal is simply outstanding.
I have two friends that won bonze over the past years & we all look upon them even more astonishing then a gold for we know how much the competitors trained & bust their guts to earn.

I had not realized curling had interested so many other then the Scottish being first at it, to the Americans.
It is a good thing to be in from a lead up to a skipper & simply ideal for Western Cdn farmers waiting for weather to start their Spring to Autumn chores.
So if Japan out-did Russia then good for them. Though I put in 10+ yrs of curling & can watch the game on TV with interest I am just amazed that others can as well.
Fortunately this is a game for Men, Women, or those retired to also mixed teams & always on artificial ice, not regular ice I learned on to also why I quit due to a schnook & the hours demanded. So often you are to another town or city to compete.
