Could be looking at letting the new lay judges sit on this trial as well. Evidence is stacked up so his guilt won't be a problem - only question mark will be over whether it was premeditated, if proven then good chance he'll swing.

Hostess clubs may be many things but "very highly respected" isn't one of them, no matter how rich the punters are.

Yup, give him this gem on miscegenation from Griffin,
"Do I regard someone who is married to or living with a partner of another race as a suitable member or candidate for the BNP? No, because by their choice they have clearly shown that they do not share our most fundamental values."
If he remains a big supporter nonetheless then reconsider your own definition of "nice guy".

Yes, that is precisely the sentiment that the majority of the British public, not to mention many of the the victims' families have been attempting to get accross. The day he heard he was being released he dropped his appeal.
By releasing him on compassionate grounds MacAskill has done the British and American Governments a favour as it has silenced the growing call to hold an independent review into the unsafe conviction and uncover the reasons why the Scottish Courts may have carried out such a massive miscarriage of justice in the first place.

He was freed because his conviction was so monumentally unsafe it was an embarrassment to keep him locked up any longer. The whole compassionate grounds reasoning is nothing more than a timely smokescreen which suits the Scottish courts, Gadhafi's ego, Western oil companies and most importantly the American and British Governments because there will now no longer be an independent review into the bombing to discover what really happened. The only people who have been duped are the victims' families.
The above article only part quoted Dr Jim Swire's staggeringly, reasoned and judicious comments;

"They may eventually go to the public prosecutors office and give them information that will lead to your downfall."
"They" being law-abiding citizens, "information" being evidence of criminal activity and "downfall" being arrest, trial and conviction through the courts. Hardly kangaroo court stuff is it.

Sorry, I just can't take this seriously. You honestly place Fox News and BBC World on a par? And their level of bias is based on interpretation rather than content?!?!? Behave La!

The Beeb gets accused of quite the opposite on a far more regular basis. The balanced criticism suggests a degree of impartiality at least.
And to the poster shouting libel - try googling the words "Hearsay" or "Statements of Opinion". They teach it lesson one, day one at The Daily Mail school of journalism.

My missus got this film out so we could "watch it together". It made my eyes bleed it was so dire. Oh, and James Bond really, REALLY shouldn't try to sing. Although I'm yet to meet a lass who doesn't love it with an almost religious passion. Maybe it's like WWII movies for girls.

Too true whitepocky - Platini still blames us as a nation for Heysel and it clouds his every dealing with the FA. Great player, bad president.
Jack "Nobody in Europe likes England" Warner will also have a big say in the outcome - God help us all!
