Horrible way to die... in a cheap hotel and all that. The rooms looked hideous.

I'm sure the netizens would come off second best to all the baachan that watch korean dramas on day time tv... who would have seen this way to eat ramyun a million times over.

Don't buy the story at all, but I can understand a wriggly baby.. even at that age. Both of mine have been early wrigglers.

Brakes were supposedly not applied, bus sliced through 10m (or maybe that's the other way around) of guard rail and practically split in two. I don't think a body could be equipped to handle that, no matter the age.

It doesn't promote homosexuality at all... and there could be a chance that people complaining are grabbing at straws in order to complain in the first place. We all know that complaints about over sexualising young girls would go through one ear and out the other. This was clearly made with the intension of stimulating ossan ( some who end up assaulting young girls) It's not going to make anyone turn lesbian. What I want to know is why there were no complaints for that commercial where akb girls pretended to be preggers and breast feeding and asking to make a baby with them... on some paid service on their website!? The cm even showed old men uploading their photos to make virtual babies with young girls. That is worthy of complaint...not this promoting homosexuality shite.

We've known about this for the past few months in Gunma. You were allowed to fish during the season but not able to take the fish home and eat them. I guess it takes a while for the news to dribble out. The info was always there, it's just that no one bothered to make a big deal out of it until now.

I'm assuming the landlords didn't check their bank accounts to see who is paying and who isn't. My in laws didn't bother checking their accounts to see if their tenants were paying and some of them had not paid for over 6 months... When you don't rely on the rent as income it's not so much of a big deal that needs checking up on. They are just stupid enough to think people will pay it. Can't believe the neighbours didn't raise the alarm??

Because we have enough problems with paedophiles in this country!? Why encourage them with these groups of overtly sexual "performers" (artists they are not....) in school uniforms.

Wouldn't providing free health care in Fukushima encourage people to stay there because it's "cheaper" for the kids? Or heaven forbid people move there to have kids so they benefit from free health care? I for one wouldn't want my child staying there, no matter what was free. I do sincerely hope any children and their families that develop illnesses are well looked after financially but that might be a bit far fetched considering how much of a pain in the bum the gov has been. Terrible situation for any families to be in really :(

The news reports on tv said police had checked him for weapons but didn't check well enough (and they admit a big mistake) as he had been hiding the knife in his crotch area.

I'm sorry... you wore flip flops to a restaurant?!? In what universe would dressing like a slob and a restaurant go together? Just because it looks like a giant beach doesn't mean that there's no dress standard. People tend to take pride in their establishments and like to have a certain type of customer (one that doesn't dress bad). Perhaps a beach side fish and chip shop would have been a better option.. or McDonald's? ;)

I definitely feel safer in Japan than Aus. The service is better in Japan compared to Aus... but to condemn Australia for it's lack of customer service? Go to America. Go Shopping and say thank you. I bet you will get a "mm hmm" not "have a nice day" or "you're welcome" :P

DH's company is bringing in the workers from their Thai factories that have been flooded, will be providing them with accommodation and a dry working space in one of their hardly used factories here in kanto. And apparently a lot of other companies will be doing the same...

The only thing I miss in Japan is the seasoning on KFC chips. I mean why on earth make KFC chips plain and boring!? Isn't the point of KFC those chips!? Eating them with a little tub of potato and gravy is better than eating the chicken... Which in Japan is usually over done anyway. Oh! And zingers! Ok. I'm not a junk food addict.... I'm just able to fine all the other things people are listing ;) for anyone with the time check out the foreign buyers club. You will find lots of goodies there.

What difference does age make? We see the same reports coming from 40 year olds. As for education, the week which you spend in hospital after giving birth in generally full of classes on how to handle a screaming new born. You are asked if you feel depressed, constantly checked on. Given a little handbook with facts on post natal depression and who to call when you really can't handle it all.Doctors and nurses do try their best to prevent these things from happening. Even 24 hour emergency hotlines for when something is wrong with baby... Just a shame that some people ignore it. I guess without knowing the full situation we can't say what pushed them over the edge... But being complete a$$holes is definitely one thing we know for sure.

The Americans whom I saw at the mall, waving things in cashier's faces asking how much things are and how much that is in USD and if they speak English (yet there were price tags on the items of course)
The Aussie guys I saw on the train commenting on some hot high school chick showing her panties on the train one time and how they would bone her given the chance. (Horrible to hear my own countrymen refer to someone underage so openly and in public)
The Brit who picked up a salary man's wallet in denny's and flipped through the money instead of handing it back right away. I guess things were tight.
And the charming Korean man that elbowed me while I was trying to board a flight, winding me then knocking his briefcase into my baby's face and giving her a bloody lip. he must have been in a hurry. funny that I was bumped up a class because of the whole thing.
In conclusion. all people are a-holes. especially when given the title of tourist.

So what was it called then, surprise sex? TV is not to blame, it surely doesn't help any but to say there were no rape and molestation before the 30's is total stupidity. Raping and pillaging was all the rage in the day of the viking (and way earlier) jus' sayin.

sad thing is someone probably said their child was fatter than the others. Have met a woman at the park who told me her daughter shouldn't be eating so much because she was on a "diet" when my daughter tried sharing some senbei.
