I agree with Sebaschan about Hollywood not risking making a movie without a happy ending.
It makes them predictable and takes away the suspense no matter how great the visual effects are.
Hollywood has forgotten "tragedy". Heroes can and should die sometime!

In my opinion, there's nothing "humiliating" or "sad" about using a leash to help keep your kid out of danger.
I heard how this is supposed to be "inhumane" quite a bit in the US. Where did this kind of thinking coming from?

> fds at 11:57 AM JST - 21st July didn't the kid who cut off a couple of other kids' heads start off with cats? where is he now? >
He was reported to be living somewhere in Ehime. I have no sympathy for those who hurt helpless animals, so a slow chemical death to this coward. JT, which park? Give us the name.

2.7 million a year. That's not very much money (apx. $27,000 US dollars) a year. To cut that in half would put him very close to poverty level income. There are better ways to cut costs. The reducing/canceling of unprofitable flights being the best way.
Cutting pensions is a great demotivating factor for loyalty to those within your organization. Very short-sighted solution.

A company has 100% right to do these things. A computer at work is the property of the company, to be used for work purposes only. If people want to go to social networking sites or exchange personal messages via email, they should wait till they get home. It's a matter of professionalism by the employee.

Make the penalty for "running" severe to the point that no would think about doing it. Change the rules of liability so that fault will be taken into consideration rather than the blanket "the driver was at fault no matter what."
My friend had a truck trailer suddenly pull out in front of him on his motorcycle. He had to do a slide right under the trailer in order not to get killed. The police put the fault 50/50 even though it was clearly the truck driver's fault. The reasoning by the police being that my friend shared half the blame for just being on the road. This kind of nonsense makes anyone want to separate themselves from an accident scene.
In this poor kid's case, regardless of fault, the driver should have helped him. A real human being would have.

To kill your own offspring is quite extraordinary (even though we've had quite a few killings their small children/babies). I wouldn't be surprised if this son really was making his parents' lives hell. Many times, police will not get involved with private family matters like this. It must have been pretty hellish. I side with the parents in this case unfortunate as it may be.

It's fine they don't visit Pearl Harbor. Let them go where they want to go. They don't need to go on a tour to apologize, by proxy for the actions of his father, for the rest of his life.
US Presidents don't make stops to Sand Creek to honor massacred Cheyenne Indians or apologize to Japanese-Americans forced into Concentrations camp every time they go to California.
