Good for you, Nishimatsu. It's this attitude that I would like to see from other CEOs, especially US ones. If the people in your company are being laid-off and your company is hurting financially, it is best to show some modesty and a hell of a lot less exuberance.

ChrisErlindson, This shot was taken from Fujisawa in Kanagawa Prefecture at a beach called Kugenuma. If you were to turn around you'd see Enoshima Island and just around the point is Kamakura where the Big Buddha is. This is about 45 minutes south of Yokohama.

Most of the stablizing factors of this society have been done away with. The "until retirement" job security that was enjoyed by most workers have been replaced by temps and contract workers. I can't emphasize enough how important job security is to maintaining stability and low-crime rates.
