American cars have a terrible reputation not only here but in other countries around the world,…
Posted in: What do you think are the main reasons why U.S. car sales are so low in Japan?

The Americans really need to understand that you can't simply role into a country and enforce democracy and peace.

No it isn't. DB is now no more than a substitute.
The English F.A. have been trying to build him up into something of a world ambassidor for football - which explains why he is always played by the England coach, regardless of whther he can make a difference to a match or not.
Having DB in the squad - just so that he can claim to be the only player to have appeared in 4 successive world cups, just deprives younger, more useful players of making their mark on the game

This is now Obama's war, right? I mean, ever since he decided to escalate it with a troop surge.
Obama shoulders all responsibility for this.

I'll correct myself. It was Briatin's Got Talent that she appeared on, not X-Factor.

Susan Boyle has learning difficulties. This fact went unspoken for ages in the UK until she cracked-up after losing in the final of 'X Factor', when suddenly the debate was "Is it right to allow people with learning difficulties endure this level of pressure".
Personally I'm sick of hearing about her and I'm glad she's been discovered in Japan - the Japanese can keep her. Were it not for her learning difficulties she'd be just another average singer. not even average. There's really nothing special about her at all, same as with every other X Factor contestant.

I'ts little inconsistancies like this that make me smile.
5 million deaths every year from cigarettes and no one bats an eye.
One death (apparently) from MDMA and Japan is outraged

I'd just like some evidence that he was the 'mastermind' behind the attacks.
It's a fantastically James Bond-esque phrase to use. I don't doubt his involvement as ehad of the organisation, but show me the proof that he personally planned the attacks.

Sailwind, you're American. You've been lied to. Accept it.
My point was that JT called OBL the 'Mastermind' behind the attacks 8 years ago. Show me the evidence that proves he was.

And this, American people, was passed-off as evidence, by your own government, of OBL's ultimate guilt.
Keep the public in a state of fear and you can get away with anything.

Interesting assertion JT. What are you basing this upon? The 'confession tapes'? classified intel?
How ridiculous.

I agree with this statement. Every country is self serving. USA even more than most. A rethink of USA influence in the East is timely.

Um, well, we already had successive American administrations who for many years saw it self as the rightful rulers of the 'free world' and enforced that 'right' with their military. Personaly I see no difference - both want to dominate and are willing to fight/kill because both feel they have the moral or religious high ground.

Will we ever (be alowed to) get over Obama?
Posted in: People have said they were moved even though they didn’t understand English well. Some even said the only phrase they caught was, ‘Yes, we can.’ They said they were in tears nonetheless.

Why? There's lots of pretty-looking teens in the J-media and most of the comments here are playful enough.
hehe. Maybe. But then again maybe they'll become 'singers', 'models' (the cheap bikini type) or else appear on those celebrity shows as a little box in the corner of the screen until they get pregnant.

The fact of the Taliban not respecting women's right and of killing innocent women should not, in it self justify killiing them all. Your comment illustartes just how confused and deluded the American public has become over the issues of your Middle Eastern wars of terror.
I suppose you're also concerned about Saudi treatment and execution of women too, since it goes on over there? Would you like to invade them next?
Thing is, I'm willing to bet that you and most of your fellow Americans never even gave the Taliban a moment's thought until you were attacked. Until that point they were safely far away and it's awful but what can I do about it anyway...? Now you just want to see them crushed. Don't worry that it was, in fact, not the Taliban who attacked in the first place - They were Saudi fighters.
