based on g=9.8 m/s2 about 22 seconds in a vaccuum but I doubt you would make faster than 50 metres per second in the lower atmostphere so around 40 seconds I would guess

The fear that the government and police here have of recording interviews is a terrible indictment of the inadequacy of the Japanese legal and policing system.

It diminishes Japan's status as a sophisticated nation and puts the country on a par with a South American dictatorship.

The way people drive so recklessly here it's amazing there aren't 2 or 3 pedestrians squashed every day.

Well actually there are about ten pedestrians killed every day. About the same number of drivers too.

Problem is, this type of thing is becoming so common that people are becoming desensitized to it and just treating it as normal life in Japan.

I'm afraid that isolated people caring for elderly parents who may be suffering from serious dementia is 'normal life' pretty well everywhere and…
