By the way. Shouldn't you be referring to these people as 'former lawmakers' now, or 'candidates'? Now that the Diet has risen they are no longer in a law-making role and once the voters are done many will no longer have a career in politics.

Basically the Japanese don't like foreign competition working in Japan.
Citibank offer a much more user friendly banking service to me than my local Japanese bank does. Also an on-line service that is actually available in English.
