Whose original avatar? I saw one yesterday with large breasts in a bikini top that seemed to have you all worked up.

Puerto Rico is NOT a US state. Wow, what an obvious mistake.

What is the problem with kids seeing a pair of bikini clad breasts? Will that harm them somehow? I have kids and it wouldn't bother me one bit if they saw these avatars.
Seems to me you think you know best where the arbitrary "appropriate" line should be drawn with your appeals to authority ( "that includes forum owners and mods/admin that maintain their companies sites."), but I definitely think your thinking is a bit too uptight and prudish. As has already been said, the ads on the site are no more modest than the breasty avatars, so it seems it's already been decided. Maybe it's time to let this one go.

If the Dalai Lama came out against whale hunting, she'd probably meet him.
Goes to google it.
Oh, I see now.

Do you think talking down to someone somehow makes your opinion more "right"? It's like you are saying, 'Oh you disagree with me? You must not be smart enough to understand what I'm saying.'
It's rude and it's very weak rhetoric.

What a waste of money. Near beer doesn't taste anywhere near as good as beer does. If you don't want any alcohol, lots of things would do better than this stuff.
As far as the surge in non-alcohol beers goes, it seems to me that there was a car accident like 4 or 5 years ago where a drunk driver rear ended a car and it went off a bridge and some kids died. After that, it seemed like everyone in Japan's thinking all changed at the same time,, like a school of fish, and massive peer pressure to not drink and drive became the norm. Before that not so much. I don't know if the laws changed or not, but people's thinking did with that event. I've had a few people tell me that you aren't safe to drive after drinking one beer until 24 hours has passed. And there is no legal blood alcohol limit at all when driving. I think they are going overboard a bit, personally.

Than I would have to move to Cuba, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan Turkmenistan or Scotland where 16 is the legal age of adulthood because all my physical impulses are governed by the arbitrary laws of the nation I happen to living in. Of course, I am being sarcastic.

So you are saying forced patriotism is a Japanese value and freedom of thought isn't, I get that, but why do you think forced patriotism is a good value that Japan should hold dear to?

You did imply it.
Well, at least you didn't say solely responsible this time. I see it as two forces being responsible for the loss of those islands and Sakhalin Island below the 50th parallel; expansionist desires of both Japan and Russia. Since Russia was successful they get the islands. But, it was an arbitrary outcome. It has gone the other way between these two. Things just went that way this time.
Historically and geographically, Japan has a much better claim to the islands involved in the Kuril Islands dispute and I think considering the matter finished is a bit of wishful thinking by some.

You are probably right. I'm certainly not an expert on the subject. Tell me, was it also agreed upon that Russia would steal as much of Japan's land as they could? Of course, they were just helping out their GOOD buddies, the US and UK, right? They'd had never thought of it themselves.
And, as I said before, whether Russia's blatant land grab was justified or not doesn't bear on Japan's right to protest in for what it sees as its own interests.
