Fortunately for Mr. Woodford, he got himself out of Dodge and back to the UK after the meeting he was fired in and before this all came to a head. Had he stuck around he might have found himself in a Kabukicho back alley having "an accident."

As for the appeal, it's standard procedure and will not likely end up with any change in his sentencing. As for parole, as others have said before, it's uncommon for it to be granted in Japan; even less so in a high profile case such as this. He's not getting out for a long time.

Japan,
Please, please stop using the term "highball" as if it's the name of a single drink. A high ball is a glass and a series of drinks that use said glass. What you wanted to say was "ウイスキーソーダ."

Kawachi & Darkknight,
While the article could be clearer (athough the above quote does mention it), the point is that ANA is the first airline to offer draught beer using a new technology that is considered safe for operating on a airplane. Others have done it before in the past, but none since regulations severely restricting pressurised gas containers came into effect.

How about halving the number of classes "required" to "pass" the drivers test? Absolutely no need for 30man worth of classroom study and driving practice. As for price cuts, the only thing left to cut would be the "donation" to the testing centers for allowing this scam to continue for so long.
Posted in: It's harder to get new customers compared with before. We think price competition can't go any further, so we are enhancing our service lineup.
