No they intentionally boarded a ship that made it very clear their only stop would be to Gaza. And it appears that the Turks knew that some of those people on board were more than likely to create hostilities. That's why the situation was different from all of the other flotillas where no one was harmed. To that end it seems that the Turks intentionally created the situation and on top of that they ignored the UN report. It just doesn't add up considering they had good relations with Israel long after the blockade started.
More and more your posts are leaving the specific topic at hand when Israel is involved, and instead we have to sift through cut and paste mental masturbation. You're turning into one of "those guys."

So what's the real story on this? Businesses usually exist separately from their owners in the form of corporations. At least the types of business that are doing any kind of substantial hiring. I can see how the tax would hurt sole proprietors but if you're making over $1,000,000 a year you probably aren't set up as a sole proprietor. If you're a corporation then the individual income is being taxed but jobs aren't created from the owner's individual income.

So yet another Israeli neighbor is going to intentionally create hostilities with Israel, which they will then no doubt blame Israel for.
Turkey's angle is puzzling. At this point the flotilla is starting to look like a manufactured crisis. They knew Israel would board like they've done in the past, and the Turks knew there would people on the ship who would attack. They waited for the UN report to come out which blames everyone, and they somehow use that as justification to ramp up the rhetoric. Seems like they were going to say what they were going to say regardless of the report.
It's difficult to believe Turkey just woke up one day and decided support Hamas and destroy their relations with Israel in the process. They have a history of cooperating with each other.

And we all know Australia is on board to protect Australian interests. They share a common goal so they are working with the US to protect their interests. You make it sound as if the US is forcing cooperation onto Australia so we can be the aggressors which it utterly stupid. Just about every country around China is aligning themselves with the US because they have a fear of Chinese intentions. If the US pulled that off by forcing these countries to work against their own interests then you must think the US is pretty badass. Even the Vietnamese are working with the US and to think they are doing so because they US is forcing them to just makes you sound like you have no grasp on reality. The relationship is mutually beneficial so both countries are agreeing to it. If China would learn to cooperate then the countries surrounding China would have to no interest in working with the US unless they want to pick a fight with China which is, once again, utterly stupid. Countries in SE Asia are running to the US for support because they obviously feel Chna is the aggressor, not the US. If this is news to you then you're utterly lost.

What's equally disturbing is that the Palestinians need the US to make a peace deal possible, but they do things like this to slap the US in the face No doubt they will follow up their statehood with a phone call to the US asking what we can do to help them.
It's an utterly crazy situation.

It just seems that the militants, who want to destroy Israel at all costs, have a vested interested in keeping the conflict ongoing. Negotiating a peace process means an end to their goal of destroying Israel which is why any lull in violence is usually shattered with rocket attacks. The last thing they want is a peace process so they actively work against it.
The more they attack the more Israel has to respond and the more the world sees a rich, powerful nation going up against weaker people and the militants know this. They are just biding their time and keeping the war going until they can eventually get powerful enough weapons from Iran to do some serious damage to Israel. And with their "look how badly we are mistreated (after we fire rockets) they want to keep the image that Israel is actually the aggressor. When they reach the point where Iran gives them a powerful enough weapon they can use it and cash in on the worlds sympathy for them even though they do the attacking. So in the end they need to fool the world into thinking Israel is the aggressor so when they do pull off a major attack they can possibly get away with it since their endless practice of forcing Israel to respond will make the world more willing to go along with the fact that Israel deserves it.

I can't say I know how many airshows there are every year so it's hard to get perspective, but it seems like we hear a story about this once a year or so.

It's this type of simplistic analysis that keeps the majority of the people in the world stupid. The US leads the world in spending so when action is required it's obviously the US who is going to take the lead. Or were you expecting the EU to kick Saddam out of Kuwait? They couldn't even handle Gaddafi without US help, and I'm sure you're counting Libya as yet another country the US has attacked. What about the former Yugoslavia? The US took the lead once again because no one else was able to handle it because they don't spend the money to put themselves into position to handle it, even though it was in Europe's sphere of influence. The US "attacked" Somalia as well to help stop warlords from stealing aid. Yet another attack, eh? Don't forget about Grenada.
You can obviously count military operations that you don't agree with, but don't treat us like we're stupid and simply "count attacks" and say it's aggression. You've obviously trying to peddle bullshit.

China and the US will never go to war. But because of their size, Australia obviously feels the need to team up with the US to protect their interests. There's nothing at all wrong with this and the Aussies are doing it because they feel it's in their best interests to do so. You'd have to be an ass to think the Aussies would decide to handle the Chinese territorial issues on their own. They want to create the most ideal position to protect their interests since China obviously isn't going to decide to play fair because they are a bunch of nice guys.

Yep.
I can only imagine what those conversations must be like. "Please, please, please don't do this. Of course we will support you because we have no spine and we can fall back on the US veto and we want to look good in front of others, but please don't do this. Don't make our members vote to support you."

While I don't disagree with you Yabits, it's not quite that easy. Both governments worked to make Japanese a manufacturing powerhouse. I met a guy who was a lawyer for Casio in the 80s and he told me that the US government basically let the Japanese come in and take the market. He said he always wondered what the US got in exchange, but it was obviously an exchange. My guess it was the military bases.
You also have governments acting to create certain types of economies, like China. Their currency is artificially low to make them more competitive. They want to build things around exports and governments can manipulate the market to do that. Japan decided to be an exporting country and made banks give loans to companies who focused on exports, like the automotive industry. There's good and bad in both situations. Japan got to build a large manufacturing base while keeping foreign competitors out and the US lost jobs from domestic manufacturers. But now Honda and Toyota are opening factories in the US and Japan is losing jobs in the automotive industry. Since Japan intentionally set the bar high for imports, it's difficult for them to bring foreign capital into the country. For the US, on the other hand, it's much easier.
On the other side of the ocean you have a company like Airbus that was funded by the government and put in a position where it could not fail. It amounts to an American company going up against a foreign government and companies don't have pockets that deep. Airbus builds quality airplanes but in reality they shouldn't exist in the first place because no private company would have ever gotten off the ground.
Not only that but you have governments doing the same to other governments. If you want to see some stunning losses check out China's rail industry and foreign contracts overseas. They're taking losses of hundreds of millions of dollars just to get contracts. That is a situation where quality goes out the window completely.
I don't really support Obama or anyone who says to buy American as a policy regardless of quality, but compared to the rest of the world the US has a lot of catching up to do in terms of playing the game. Right now it looks like they're taking the route of a cheap dollar to increase exports. US exports have nearly doubled and it has absolutely nothing to do with quality.

That's the way it should work, but it won't work that way. Israel and Palestine pretty much have a completely different set of rules from the rest of the world. Sometimes that's good, sometimes it's not so good. What I'm curious about is exactly what Palestine will be. Abbas will be on the scene but I'm not so sure Hamas will accept a government with him as the recognized front man. On the other hand it's obvious people aren't going to let a terrorist organization like Hamas speak at the UN. In the end they'll probably get some kind of formal declaration of statehood and then nothing will change. Lie the article said it will most likely be used as leverage in future negotiations with Israel.
You're right about Ireland and Saudi Arabia, but I'm not so sure you're comparing apples-to-apples with Hamas and the militants. I don't know exactly what it will be but it probably won't be viewed the same. OBL was working to overthrow the Saudi government just as much as he wanted to kill Westerners.

This group is the least talked about...can't help but wonder if it's because the nutjobs have trouble attaching a conspiracy theory to it. We'll probably never know what exactly happened on that plane but we do know that the people acted and prevented the plane from killing anyone else. Just sheer guts.
