Mittens cannot hold a 10 point lead for 10 days in a small state.

And the GOPers want him to lead the USA with all its problems and issues for 4 years.

Newt cannot go 5 minutes without speaking some falsehood, or worse, tell the truth.

    Pretty funny. :-)

I'd like to think that conservatives and their representatives are at least enjoying themselves before their campaigns, eventual nominee and dreams get flushed down the toilet this November.

As the GOP in-house beat down continues, on behalf of all non-Americans, I would like to thank the Republican party for this year's election prospects.

Never have so few done so little for their country.

Never again will we have to hear "family values" and Republicans in the same sentence.

    Newt won SC. LOL!!

Obama by a landslide in November.

Conservatives' stance - if you can call it that - on personal freedoms always makes me laugh.

They'll howl blue murder when the government tries to ram universal healthcare down their throats because - hey - they'd like the right to choose how they manage their health thanks very much!

And yet they'll stand back and cheer when conservative state governments try to pass policies to ram pro-life laws down other people's throats.

But, but....hey, don't women in America have the right to choose how they manage their reproductive health for exactly the same reason that conservatives want the right to manage their health insurance??

Nope, sorry, not in RepubliBizzarroWorld they don't.

    Logic need not apply.

LOL!! Gingrich s more Establishment than Rmoney.

I find it seriously disturbing that the GOP candidates' complete lack of policies isn't causing any ripples among The Right.

Let's face it - in a sane person's world, the lack of concrete policies among politicians aiming for the highest office in the land would have had alarm bells ringing months ago.

In ConservativeLand - not a tinkle.

    Nothing.

It's like their bitter hatred of president Obama is so intense they don't even care that their own guys are nothing but suits, who - as has become tiringly typical - have no ideas, no solutions, nothing to offer except lame anti-Obama rhetoric.

And conservatives are lapping if up.

Actually, allow me to correct myself - they're not.

Conservatives are clearly as confused as h*ll, as is clear from from their churn rate of frontrunners - 3 winnersw in 3 races.

The joke just gets funnier. :-)

Odds are pretty good that Rmoney's campaign team has a higher collective IQ than all the conservatives in SC put together, but that would just be an opinion, y'know..... :-)

You forgot the tired GOP/Faux News line that he' a Muslim who was born outside Amerika.

Amazing what some conseratives mix with their Kool-Ade.

Heh, one of the funniest things about this GOP campaign is how almost every candidate in the GOP closet has had their turn at the top before being kicked back down the stairs when the constantly fickle conservatives saw there was another who deserved 15 minutes of fame.

It was only a few short months ago when Newt’s entire campaign team imploded under him after the 2-week Greek island cruise he did with Callista where he was no doubt very hard at work working on all his campaign stuff and bits.

Last week Rmoney had the nomination in the bag; this week, Newt’s on top because hey – instead of talking how the policies he doesn’t have will improve the U.S. economy he doesn’t care about, he blasted a debate host for asking about his ex-wife.

That's going to fix the economy!

And – right on cue – he gets a bump from mainstream conservatives who care even less about voting in someone who can improve their economy than they do about facts.

Sailwind, mate, you need to help me out here.

Are you saying the President Obama should not have tried at all?

You know, like the last president in the WH who spent most of his term denying that climate change was even real?

Are you saying that to not try at all is worse than trying and – in some cases – not achieving perfection?

Is that what you are saying?

If that’s the case, how on earth would your nation’s founders have gotten anywhere with an attitude where they just said ‘Hey, we might fail in this. Let’s not attempt it at all.”?

No, what you should be doing is giving the president kudos for:

1/ Actually acknowledging climate change is an issue and that investing in renewables is critical, and

2/ for actually having the guts to do something about it.

Some of the investments made by Obama's team didn't fly.

What do you expect - a 110% success record? When has ANY government anywhere achieved that?

Sailwind - "It [the House Republicans in November 2009 health bill amendment] relies on bedrock GOP principles: consumer choice, no tax hikes, limited government involvement and caps on lawsuits.

ie: the sweetest recipe in the book for national bankruptcy?

The same bedrock principles that breeds finance industry cowboys, throttles government income, puts rights and livelihoods of consumers in the hands of corporate raiders, and to cap it all off, limits the amounts they can sue for?

    Those bedrock principles?

    ARE. YOU. KIDDING?????

Sailwind, having read your posts for years on JT, I am glad to know that you were only joking when you wrote those words.

unreconstructed - "Savor the fury it engenders on the loony Left, their hero Obama out of the news for more than 24 hours and their lives lose all meaning."

There's no need for the president to be in the news - I mean, what's the point of him getting air time when he spends most of each day howling with laughter watching the GOP self destruct?

He should probably take a holiday to Hawaii or sharpen up his golf swing.

President Obama's going to win just by waking up on election day, that's if he can hear himself think over the inane howling of conservatives as they watch their candidate fly off the cliff. :-)

Heh, gotta love it. Probably the funniest thing about this – besides the GOP pushing someone to win in SC that they collectively hated only a little over a month ago, is that the longer this GOP clown show nomination process drags on, the longer RMoney and Newt will have to tear each other to shreds.

While President Obama and the Dems look on, they may not have to launch any Super PAC a-bombs at all because – hey – RMoney and Newt are killing each other quite effectively themselves.

Also funny to see some of the conservative posters on this thread – the same ones who have been wrong so many, many times before, trying to sound as if they might actually be right this time.

This is playing right into the Dem's hands.

I doubt even David Axelrod could have predicted it was going to be this good for the Dems.

Romeo, it's also pretty telling that you apparently have nothing whatsoever to say about my spiel besides calling it a 'rant.'

Really, there isn't much to say about something so indefensible.

[From the article] - "Romney remains the lukewarm leading candidate whose past stances on abortion and other social issues have failed to win the passion of the party’s more conservative members."

Supports my point from my previous post.

Serrano - "Clearly, Sushi doesn't understand conservatives or conservatism."

Serrano, I do clearly understand that despite what conservative principles conservatives may claim to stand for, they clearly don't.

Here's why - and the following are some of the many reasons why the current crop of GOP candidates - Romney, Newt, Santorum - do not deserve anyones' votes. Ditto for all those who dropped out - Cain, Bachmann, etc.

    WHY CONSERVATIVE IDEOLOGY IS BANKRUPT

CONSERVATIVES SAY: They are all for freedom and liberty. CONSERVATIVES DO: Repress womens right to choose whether or not to have an abortion. Repress the rights of gay/lesbian couples to enjoy the same rights of marriage as straight couples.

CONSERVATIVES SAY: They want “small government.” CONSERVATIVES DO: Take advantage of all the big government welfare and services they possibly can: Social Security, MedicAid, MediCare, Federally funded and built highway systems, military, policing, CIA, etc.

CONSERVATIVES SAY: They like free markets. CONSERVATIVES DO: Quickly sign up for big government-funded welfare when the same free markets destroy and/or ship their jobs to China.

CONSERVATIVES SAY: They demand freedom of speech. CONSERVATIVES DO: Decry the same freedom of speech when someone critticizes them or their country in a way they do not understand or cannot accept.

CONSERVATIVES SAY: They support freedom of religion. CONSERVATIVES DO: Decry the same freedom of religion when it means Christian festivals and doctrine are removed from school curriculums.

Really, what DO conservatives stand for?

It seems extremely clear that conservatives in general do not put their money where their mouths are, which is one of the many reasons Americans arent' buying their fatally flawed doctrine.
