It drives the Left insane that Palin didn't have her daughter get an abortion. Absent the chance to levy a hypocricy charge, they resort to ad hominem attacks.

It looks to me like Palin is anything but a hypocrite. The daughter, and the baby's father, have taken responsibility and will have the baby. If they were having an abortion, then of course there would be a justified charge of hypocricy.
As far as Cheney's daughter being a "skeleton" - nothing could be further from the truth. She didn't try to deny it nor did Cheney or his wife. They expressed love for their daughter as she did for them.
The savage, false rumors spread by the MoveOn crowd are only acting to turn off moderate Democrats. Perhaps Michael Moore will be able to elect yet another Republican.

Palin has more executive experience than Obama, plus she speaks better without a teleprompter than he does. Biden is going to come across as an arrogant blowhard during the debates with Palin. Neither Biden or Obama is comfortable with strong women. The hardcore feminist vote is pretty insignificant - Palin is going to appeal to the women who run businesses or are part of family businesses who don't like the way Obama takes them for granted and thinks that they are going to just let him tax them to death to pay for his ultimately ineffective social agenda.
Obama is going to end up like the Grateful Dead - packing the stadiums and being fawned upon for every move by adoring fans, but ultimately not selling the albums (votes).

AP reporter Mark Smith wants Bush to do an Obama and meddle in their consumption habits: “Why have you not called on Americans to drive less and turn down their thermostats?”
Bush: “People are smart enough to figure out whether they should drive less…it’s presumptuous to do so…they can decide. Of course they should conserve…let them decide.”
Via Allahpundit:
If we can’t be trusted to glean satirical intent from an over-the-top New Yorker cover, how can we be trusted to buy less of something when the price goes up? It’s Daddy President 101, with the added nuance of the media demanding a catalyzing call for action from a guy with an approval rating south of 30 whom they assure us no one in their right mind takes seriously. If he had issued some sort of formal statement inspiring the predictable semi-snarky headlines (“Bush: Conserving Energy Is a Good Thing”), the nutroots would have goofed on him for his chimplike mastery of the obvious and Slate’s ultra-keen “Bushisms” feature could have knocked off early. But look on the bright side. Next year, we’ll be treated to headlines like, “Obama: Turn Off the Light When You Leave a Room.”

Liberals have forever been advocating higher taxes on gasoline to drive down consumption - now that prices have risen they act like it is a horrible thing yet refuse to allow any sensible measures to increase the supply. On housing the liberals decried rising housing prices for making affordable housing scarce. Now they are outraged that prices have declined. Shameless and the hypocricy will make it impossible for them to govern should they win in November.
The media has driven the liberal agenda with scare stories. No wonder hordes of worried folks line up to withdraw money at a failed bank despite being 100% insured.

This article is pooorly written. Travelers will still be able to buy tickets without minimum stays but will be paying a premium for them. It will punish the business travelers mostly.
Should the $15/bag fee be included in the ticket price. Lots of the business travelers who are being hit by the new policy don't have any checked baggage. It would be a double whammy to hit them up on that. Fuel surcharges is where the airlines are really exploiting the customers now. JAL just announced a $1000 fuel surcharge on top of the ticket price for its Sydney-London route.

Subtitled movies can connect with U.S. audience. For example each of these movies grossed more than $15 million in U.S. box office receipts along with millions more in DVD rentals: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Taiwan), Life Is Beautiful(Italy), Hero (China), Pan's Labyrinth (Mexico), Amelie(France), Jet Li's Fearless(China), Il Postino (Italy), Like Water for Chocolate (Mexico), Monsoon Wedding (India), The Lives of Others(Germany), Y Tu Mama Tambien(Mexico), Volver(Spain), La Vie en Rose(France), Shall We Dance?(Japan).
Hollywood movies have a worldwide audience like no other (Bollywood may be bigger, but really how many outside of India have ever really seen one in a theater, or DVD for that matter?). The pattern is the same all over the world. Go to a theater in Australia and you will probably have a choice of either Australian or Hollywood movies. Go to France and you will have a choice of French or Hollywood movies. Go to Argentina and you will have a choice of Argentine or Hollywood movies. And so on. Audiences worldwide have a preference for their own movies and Hollywood's.

US and Iraqi forces continue to target the Mahdi Army as an Iraqi delegation visited Iran to confront the country over its support of Shia militias battling the government. The US military conducted a guided rocket attack on a Special Groups headquarters adjacent to a hospital in Sadr City, while 14 Mahdi Army fighters have been killed during clashes over the past 24 hours.
The US Army targeted and destroyed a Special Groups command and control center in a Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System strike in Sadr City at 10 AM local time Saturday morning, Multinational Forces Iraq reported. "There were six GMLRS rocket strikes on these Special Groups criminal command and control nodes," Lieutenant Colonel Steven Stover, the chief Public Affairs Officer for Multinational Division Baghdad, told The Long War Journal while refuting claims that the US used aircraft to attack. "We conducted a precision strike, hopefully got a few leaders, and sent a very strong message."
The Special Groups have been using the location near the hospital for an extended period of time and US intelligence has followed the activities at this site. "We had been tracking it for some time," Stover said. "Operations made the call to hit it. There may have been damages to the hospital - broken glass. There was likely ambulances damaged; however, it was the Special Groups criminal leadership that purposely put their command and control node there."
The Special Groups are a subset of the Mahdi Army that receives backing from Iran's Qods Force, the foreign clandestine operations wing that has supported Shia terror groups in Iraq. The Mahdi Army and the Special Groups have intentionally fought amongst the civilian population and use civilians as human shields in an attempt to inflate civilian casualties and create a media backlash against Iraqi and US operations.
The Rusafa health department media director claimed 28 Iraqi were wounded in the strike, and nine ambulances and 40 civilian vehicles were damaged. The Sadrist bloc ran the Health Ministry prior to withdrawing from the government in 2007, and the hospitals in Sadr City are known to be infiltrated with Mahdi Army and Sadrist bloc members. The Mahdi Army used hospitals as staging areas for sectarian attacks and weapons storage depots.

Jean Colmar once again proves that his lack of knowledge will never prevent him from posting ridiculous comments. The judge in the case has convicted police officers before. In this case, however, he listened to the evidence and made a judgment based on the credibility of the witnesses. The prosecution witnesses contradicted themselves repeatedly. Their thuggish demeanor on the stand didn't help the case either. Unfortunately in this case the media has only used their side in stories.
The NYPD is highly respected by New Yorkers and visitors worldwide. You obviously have no direct knowledge and are projecting your insecurities and resentments.

Wal-Mart doesn't sell handguns. Many of their stores have discontinued firearms sales of any kind. In any case, they don't sell guns that appeal to criminals - they don't sell AK's, AR-15's, or any kind of "assault rifle". I doubt that many firearms sold at Wal-Mart have ever been used in a crime relative to the numbers they've sold.
The ATF already requires firearm dealers to keep record of who they sold firearms to - Wal-Mart is not agreeing to anything new. This is just another PR show.
