The affidavit filed to obtain the arrest warrant makes clear that this guy was intent on carnage. The charge that this was somehow trumped up or a case of entrapment is unfounded.

Michelin uses the guide in part as a PR tool. They would love to sell a lot more tires in Japan and the generous star allotment to Japanese restaurants helps the cause.
The WSJ article pointed out criticism from chef regarding the fact that many of the highly rated Japanese restaurants seat as few as a dozen diners at a time. Maintaining quality and consistency for a dozen diners is a different game entirely from running a restaurant serving a couple hundred.

The security needs to be focused on WHO is getting on the airplane and not just WHAT is getting on.
There will be bad pilots. For example, Egypt Air Flight 990 in 1999 when the pilot deliberately took his plane and its passengers into the Atlantic.

Why do you rely on a teleprompter for all of your public speaking, even in informal situations such as the time you addressed an elementary school class?

It is naive to think that legalization of drugs would eliminate the drug cartels. Their focus is to be what is called the "plaza boss" of all crime within their territories. This is already seen in large scale crime unrelated to the drug trade they engage in now such as siphoning off oil to sell on the black market to small scale crime like shaking down flea market vendors.
Evil is the only adequate description of the drug cartels. They have no regret for mistakenly killing teenagers at a party.

The new daily nonstop from Haneda to Honolulu is great, adding one to Kona on the Big Island would be even better. The Hilton Waikoloa Village is an awesome resort. The grounds are so lush and the location is paradise.
It sounds to me like elbudamexicano is an Internet troll who has never been out of his room in the last five years, let alone to Hawaii.

Smoking in movies may be in decline, but U.S. children will surely be influenced by having a President who smokes.

Articles like this epitomize the ostrich with the head in the sand syndrome. Muslims are in a constant state of conflict with their non-Muslim neighbors all over the world. It is not only in places like the Netherlands where film director Theo Van Gogh was brutally murderered over his art or the UK where Salman Rushie continues to live under threat of death. It is in places like Thailand where Buddhist schoolchildren have been hacked to death by militant Islamists, the Phillipines where a bloody insurgency continues to go on, and Sudan where Islamic forces enslave and slaughter innocents in Darfur. It occurs in Russia where Islamic terrorists bomb apartment buildings and slaughter theater goers. Islamic terror threats tie up the intelligence agencies of Australia, Canada, Germany and virtually every modern country. Meanwhile the organized Islamic organizations only come out after attacks to call for more tolerance for themselves - despite the lack of any real backlash.

You can pledge all you want but until the check is written it doesn't mean much. I don't think the Pakistanis will be seeing much of this money, at least the ones who are in need.

Less than 1.5 percent of Pakistanis even file a tax return. It gets tiring to send money that gets siphoned off for the well to do Pakistanis who don't care about their own countrymen.

Well, from my perspective things are far from snapping. I had a nice chat with one of my neighbors this morning, had a surprise phone call from an old friend, went to a city park that was full of folks enjoying the beautiful day, playing frisbee, walking their dog. The smell of backyard cookouts in the air this evening. Life is pretty good.

Ranger_Miffy, You don't seem to understand - what could even an oil slick the size of Puerto Rico compare to controlling the rise of the oceans and healing of the Earth? The thought that this problem cannot be solved by The Chosen One is quite disheartening.
