Obama's "humanly possible" comment is a bit of a letdown from his earlier promise that his presidency would be when the "oceans began to recede and the planet began to heal". Now he can't manage an oil slick??

A church near my sister in law's house in the U.S. caught fire. Federal ATF agents who were brought in to see if it was an arson canvassed the neighborhood to interview neighbors and made copies of all pictures taken of the fire to assist them determine the cause and the location where the fire started.
I don't think that camera phone images are being transmitted live to investigators waiting at headquarters. That isn't the way it works. The camera phones are just handy and therefore more likely to be carried and used by responding officers.

Photos of a fire can be very helpful to investigators. The color of the smoke, for example, can help determine the type of fuel burning - which could assist in an arson investigation.

Meanwhile the same month in San Francisco there is an "anti-war" rally sponsored by the Left. The media ignores what is advocated and communicated at its rally because it would interfere with the decided party line that only those who would support someone like Palin could be offensive:

    http://zombietime.com/sfanti-warrally_3-20-2010/

Out of curiousity I have attended rallies from all spectrums. I can say for certain that an anti-Tea Party protester who came to a Tea Party event would be treated much better, certainly subjected to much less abuse, than any average Tea Partier who showed up at a Leftist rally.

The media's unhinged reaction to the Tea Party protests is pathetic. An example of this is CNN's non-coverage of the huge rally in Searchlight. Despite thousands in attendance in the home of the Democrat Majority Leader's hometown, this is how CNN described what was happening:

**Hundreds of people, at least dozens of people **- we haven’t gotten a count of how many people turned out there.

How will the media report the mid-term election rout in November when they refuse to honestly report the grassroots opposition to the Obama agenda?

So it was a matter of timing: among the five members, we have four children, and everybody has gone their own ways in terms of employment and endeavors.

...is a hipster way of saying they did it for the money.

Love their cover of CCR's Sinister Purpose though.

No issue with this story as long as Mr. Depp doesn't come out with any self-righteous comments about carbon footsteps down the road.

The latest information released by the Dubai police is that two of the suspects left Dubai on a boat to Iran.

Mahmoud al-Mabhouh was reported to use five different passports in his travels. Wonder which countries those belonged to?

The Taliban have no rules. They fight from homes while the inhabitants huddle in fear. They exploit rules of engagement on Nato troops by heading into Marjah with women and children forced to walk with them holding the Taliban's weapons and supplies.

The weird thing is that he was kicked off one Southwest flight but then later caught another Southwest flight to get home.

It amuses me that so many who are quick to call out Americans for obesity have blinders on regarding their own countries. Australians and Brits particularly are right up there in obesity rates. I was up in Vancouver BC recently and saw plenty of tummy rolls and thunder thighs. So save the self-righteous talk with blinders on.

Perhaps these two siblings are within the age that they can have dual citizenship. At a certain age they are supposed to choose but until then they should have equal rights under both nationalities.

It is hard to keep up with the conspiracy tin foil brigade. Drugs should be legalized and are essentially harmless in and of themselves...but a diabolical cabal allowed drugs in to ruin poor neighborhoods.

This group apparently didn't make the required bribe prior to trying to get these children out to a better life.

There is a lot of uninformed commentary on this website but the statement that

Mexico really needs to crack down on these murderers. But so far, the Mexican state has refused to do so.

really stands out. Calderon's government is taking the cartels on. Hundreds of Mexican law enforcement personnel are killed every year fighting the cartels, hardly "symbolic deployments".

Why do drug legalization advocates try to sell the notion of the idea that it will bring in tax revenue? How could it be heavily taxed and yet there be no incentive for drug users to buy cheaper drugs from the cartels?

Virtually all cocaine entering the U.S. and Canada comes through Mexico. The Mexican cartels have pushed the Colombians out of distribution.

Have they forgotten how Mitsubishi literally threw complaints into a locker to hide them away?
Toyota's President didn't make those comments at a press conference or in a meeting with suppliers and/or customers. He was inexplicably attending the Davos conference in Switzerland and was tracked down by a camera crew.

Am I the only one who noticed that the manufacturer of the faulty assembly was not Toyota but an American supplier?

CTS manufactures the pedals to the design specifications provided to it by Toyota. That is why the focus properly remains on Toyota. But at this point it is generally accepted that the problem goes beyond the accelerator pedal and into the electronic system of the affected Toyotas.

    Mark Steyn:

Harry Reid’s reluctance to seat Senator Brown (R- Mass) – boy, I enjoyed typing that – until “the proper paperwork has been received” seems awfully finicky for a man who famously declared he wanted to bring “twelve million undocumented Americans out of the shadows”.

Why not start by bringing the undocumented Senator out of the shadows? Given the unelected Dems sitting as replacements for Obama and his cabinet appointees, it would demonstrate a particular contempt for the people’s voice to hold up the one guy who fought and won an election to get in there.

This story is just garbage. I listened to the show in its entirety. Rush definitely called for people to donate to Haitian relief efforts through private charities.
