I have to admit that I was one of those annoying people with large carry-ons. What do you expect if you're going on a 10 day business trip and the sample you have to carry is finished on the same day as your flight?
Duty frees were a must too. 3 different cartons of cigarettes for the ossans and Godiva for the ladies. Expectations from family members were a bit high too.
I'm glad I don't have to do that anymore.

familywrongs, I admire your sympathy and imagination, but suggesting pachinko parlors to allow babies and tots is insane. It's not Disneyland. Not just the lights but also the smoke and the noise could be harming if not deadly. If you are a decent mother, you will never think of taking your child to such place, or even suggesting it.

It is insane. However, the Japanese court does not realize this is murder and cases like these let the parent(s) off with less than 5 years imprisonment. They even offer suspended sentences.
Sooooo insane....

I hope their clients are not doing any decision making based on that sort of info.

Everyone here seems to be opposed to tipping, but I think there's some good in it.
In Japan, where the fee is included, you can expect a certain level of service. Whereas in some places I visited(mostly in Southern Europe, I'm sorry to say), without the expected tip, I could easily imagine some employees goofing off...

It's funny how they have to ride in groups. My friend was asked to buy one from his colleague because they wanted him to join the team.
USNinJapan2, I'm definitely going to tell that to my friend! :)

USNinJapan2,
Yes, but it doesn't have to be nude! Where I come from, pregnancy is not that open. I don't oppose to people doing it at home, but making this a business is crazy.
I personally would not want to see my mother pose nude pregnant or not.

Well, she must have heard that question over and over in her first lady days. "What does Bill think of ....?"
Now it's his turn!

Compared to their previous product, I guess.
I agree with DeepAir. These packages are way too small, and too pricey. Stick with Costco.

Posing nude in front of a professional photographer seems to me like a once-in-a-lifetime experience for most of these people. Why start now? I'd say it’s disgusting. I hope they're not planning to show this around to relatives and friends or to the child when they grow up...

If he was really sleeping on the road, it's pure bad luck for the lady.
Or it could have been some conspiracy and the person who called the ambulance was responsible for making the guy fall asleep in the first place, placing him exactly where he would get killed... Oops, too much suspense dramas!

He got what he deserved, but as always, "the murder remains a mystery" part is very disturbing. I wish someday scientists or psychiatrists invent a safe way (not like injecting drugs or anything) to get the whole story out of maniacs like him.

I heard about this incident on TV this morning.
The facts aren't as funny as one could imagine from this article, so I'll keep it to myself :)

People here talking about how they want their family free from smoke in restaurants but it's the mothers and fathers who are actually smoking in those places. It's really sick to see a mother beside her kindergarten kid, huffing and puffing.
I always choose the non-smoker seats for my family, but it's not completely sealed off, so some smoke must be seeping in. I can smell it.

I know some working mothers who would like to do the exact opposite.
Some Japanese hubbies are all work, so it's up to the mothers who are also working full time, to do all the housework.
