Did you all know that the Best Mothers Award are decided by poll from commoners? Guess not. I didn't.
The awards are given out by a NPO organization with a fairly good cause, backed by the Japanese government and some companies that pitch in for PR. The problem would be that this cause is nowhere to be seen in these articles.
If you want your moms to win, I suggest you get couple of million friends/family to vote with you! ;)

I Agree with everybody here. These guys are the worst in Johnnys.
Especially Nakai. They were talking on this interview once that on a live show, they either cut or lower the volume on his mic so that he doesn't disturb the music. I don't know if they said this as a joke, but it sure sounded real!

This was the guy that said "Cheating is Culture" or whatever. So, was this included in his lecture?
BTW, you can see the famous neuroscientist on the TV program "Best House 123". He and this other guy is supposed to be the "Brains" of the show.

Plainly insane.
I'm relieved that the 2 year old girl was safe and healthy, but she should be taken away from her parents until they straighten up. If they ever do...

Bra-tops are the perfect item for the majority of the Japanese girls. They are definitely too skinny.
kirakira25, are you sure they are evil looks? Probably more like envy...

electric2004, With baby and all, you must have many travel stories to tell! :)
So Lufthansa still doesn't have those personal videos. My colleage is sort of a Lufthansa freak, so she always suggests flying with them, but like your kids, I probably wouldn't stand the long hours on a single monitor...

electric2004, some trip! I'm glad you made it in the end.
It wasn't with SAS, but when my flight from Narita flew late on my way to London via Copenhagen, I had to run (really run!) from one end of the Copenhagen airport to the other. Reading your story, good thing I made it!
Oh, naturally, my checked-in Luggage didn't, so I received it at my hotel 2 days later...

roughneck, she was supposed to return to the States after her vacation, which apparently she didn't.
This case is wrong from the start. How can the court give the foreign wife custody then order her to live in Tennessee? Is that normal? Is it until the kids grow up? What happens if she has to move for a job or a new husband?

I haven't been kept in captivity before, so I don't know exactly how it feels like, but... even lions and tigers look so peaceful in those safari parks...

Just to note the details, a reservation for a green car seat cost almost twice the regular reserved seats. So from Tokyo to Fukuyama, one way, regular reserved seats will cost 10,500 plus 6,470=16,970 yen, whereas green cars will cost 10,500 plus 11,110=21,610 yen.
The sad thing about Japan is, flying isn't going to take you any cheaper or faster in Honshu. Maybe free of pickpockets like this guy, but definitely not faster.

Seawolf, there's tons of weird ice-cream already. You should try them. When in Shizuoka, try the Wasabi-flavored one. Sort of like your chilly-flavored Kit Kat...

jason6, not a good idea. The Japanese want Japanese blood in their babies. They're better off in the US where adoption is more popular.

I have seen some of these blogs. So many of them. Who needs to buy a book?
BTW, do I see a typo? Kouchan's "no" simple...? Is it simple or is it not?
