I'm surprised Honda is selling at price rather than unique features or quality. They were successful with Insight, but that's before Toyota came out with the new and cheaper version of the already successful Prius.

Like any other automaker, they must be having a real bad time.

The appliances are of course a big help for mothers,

How does she know? Info from toshiba engineers? They are exaggerating of course to make people buy their goods. I'd say appliances these days have too many features. I wonder if the housewives are using them effectively.

They definitely need regulation for these fragile buildings. And the money to build accordingly.

Japan, it's your specialty! Go teach and spend!

The guys that are not dressed well will not be seen here. They are gathering around secret places to be loaded on vans headed for remote 3K places.

Yelnats, you haven't been to the countryside then. There are still a lot of places without those bamboo polls and fences.

I haven't seen any pictures of this accident but I'm sure it's an accident and the parents, the traffic system and Japan itself should not be blamed. Of course many could be prevented, but sadly, accidents happen. RIP.

Anybody remember seeing Starblazers on TV? That's Yamato. I think it started out like "We're all in outer space, protecting mother earth...?"

BTW, her attitude probably lead to all this, so it's nobody else's fault but her own.

I guess the only place in Japan that can support the games is Tokyo. Maybe Yokohama, but they're not interested.

Osaka tried once but with their terrible roads and pathetic stations (just look at Shin-Osaka station. It looks like a dump!), I don't think they will even think of trying again.

That's what the holidays are all about here in the USA as well.

Yes, but in the US, many are religious enough to go to church. In Japan? Only the fake ones at weddings!

Franz75, I would agree with you, but in this case, it wasn't the light passenger vehicle, which had the casualties, it was the van. I noticed because usually you can’t have 6 passengers on light vehicles.

You should see the picture they had on some other news source. The trucks were huge! It's a surprise 3 actually lived.

Sashimi, I would understand but nimonos usually are very well cooked to soak in the soup.

It's a banquet. I'd say they need to concentrate on the more likely things like Carpaccios or roast beef or something.

    20 is OK, I guess....

But I wouldn't have my child marrying someone older than me! Sorry, but I'm being real honest here...

Disneyland's Hallowe'en is cute compared to the chaotic parade in Kawasaki.

I guess Japan needs these festivals to get consumers to buy. Nothing is about religion. It's all about merchandising...

As long as it's funny and doesn't offend anyone like the F-word mentioned above, I think its OK, but I will never be caught wearing a shirt that has any Engrish on it.

    BTW, smartacus,

Yes, "Creep"s are still around in my office. In both ways... :)

lunchmeat, is that an excuse? A lot of the women in Japan do not have the slightest chance to negotiate a salary, let alone their job description.

Again, DV doesn't get much in court. I agree this should go to a jury so they can lock him up as long as possible.

Osakadaz, that happens when you buy one when you want one. The companies slash their prices targeting people who are uncertain of their wants thus buying when news like this pops up.

As for myself, I'm totally into PC download games, so I will never buy any of the above. Sorry Mr. Sakaguchi.

That's what Indonesia is, and will always be. I hope help is on the way for these people who need them.

By the way, "children playing Playstations" sounds very strange in an article such as this. Advertisement?
