I'll go with what the Court found after reviewing 20 years of evidence.

So that pretty much so means you're regretting that fancy shmancy Appeals court review/Appeals court ruling now, huh? Since your going with the court ruling now, instead of that, since we've pretty much so shredded that argument.

Instead of admitting you're wrong, you change your argument. This is why Madverts calls you a radical.

Even after having contradictory evidence brought to your attention, you choose to side on the side that didn't show you any evidence and just asked you to take their word for it.

You wanted to kill a man. You didn't care if he was guilty. You wanted him dead.

    Tigermoth,

No. There's the south. There's the deep south. And then there's Kentucky. If the racists won't get you with their guns, they'll blow you up with their meth lab.

You couldn't pay me enough to go back there. I'm sure rand paul would have loved to watch the execution. He's a big time blood lover.

That's one of the reasons I am proud to be a native Minnesotan. Minnesota hasn't had the death penalty since 1911. Clearly a progressive state.

What really gets me is that the red meat types don't even care that they got the wrong guy. There's a cop killer out there and they couldn't care less.

They got their blood. It wasn't on pay-per-vier, but they got their blood.

Moore has nothing to do with it. I have boycotted the south since leaving Kentucky and my life couldn't be better. I'd take his advice just as a matter of better living.

Justt a couple of words to respond to your post........William Reese is still sucking up oxygen in his jail cel

OK, now you can't even type so I can tell that you are getting all emotional here, sailwind. SO...you want William Reese killed, is that it? WIll putting another man down make your life better? Will it bring back that woman he killed?

And really, how does William Reese have anything to do with Troy Davis? There wasn't a lot of evidence that was contradictory in Reese's case. His guilt was pretty much so established. That wasn't the case with Troy Davis. A point that you refuse to acknowledge. The point you are trying to make is lost on me because it's all emotion and no thought. Try again.

And while you are at it, why don't you try acknowledging that the evidence against Troy Davis was contradictory, according to your own post. It would be the right thing to do.

I think Mitt meant "culturally middle class"--that he has pedestrian middle class tastes in fashion, food, architecture, etc.

He had to have a focus group tell him to take off his tie. Not too middle class

I liked that the other day mitt promised not to be phoney and not to pander to the audience. And then he called himself a member of the middle class. He's worth between $190 and $250 million and he calls himself a member of the middle class, right after saying he won't be phoney or pander to the audience.

You can't make this stuff up.

What you fail to seem to grasp sailwind is that YOU still offered up your fancy schmancy Appeals court review/Appeals court ruling as evidence of Troy Davis' guilt. You said, "look at the last 15 pages blah blah blah."

You poste the link as proof of guilt and probably didn't read the entire document and you got busted and now you are embarrassed. Deal with it. There was contridictory evidence brought forth in the document that you posted as proof of Troy Davis' guilt. Do you get it? Your proof was not so proofy. OK. Why is it that you refuse to look at the evidence you provided on this thread? Is there something there you are choosing NOT to see? It was pretty easy for Yabits and me to find it. So what's the deal? Are we just better readers than you or are you choosing to ignore something?

The only thing I can conclude is that you wanted Troy Davis dead, despite the fact that there is contradictory evidence, that may have freed him. What did Troy Davis ever do to you? Where does this irrational hatred for the man come from? Any other people you want put to death so that you can feel better about yourself?

Well whatever it was sailwind, you presented it as evidence of Troy Davis guilt. Not me. YOU. I just happened to be the one to find contradictory evidence within the ahem "****Appeals court review/Appeals court ruling****" (gotta be fancy, don'tcha know). You just conveniently STILL seem to ignore that.

Did it feel good to see him die? Did it make you feel big and strong?

And FINALLY lieberman isn't talking out of his ass. Your criticism is warranted in this case. Pres. Obama SHOULD have acted on Davis' behalf. It would have been the right thing to do.

And by the way Tigermoth, I don't see it as socialism. I see it as Christian charity. Funny how a "nation under God" can forget all of God's son's teachings.

But feel free to call me names all you like. I'm used to it here. I get called names all the time. Never gets moderated for some reason. But, unlike others here, I wear big boy pants. I can handle it. So fire away.

I'm certainly not insinuating that the poor should pay more, just that the rich should pay their share according to their income at the same rate, and not a special rate that seemingly punishes them for being successful. I think a tax increase on anyone right now is not a great option.

The thing is, the rich didn't get rich by themselves. They had help from society to get there. Most of them were educated on our dime. Most of them drive on our roads. They hire employees we educated. They are safe in their houses because of the fire and police services paid for by us. SOCIETY. You're saying they got some extra, I'm saying they had help getting it and should offer that help to the next generation.

You don't see that thinking a lot in the rich. They pretty much look at it from a "me" angle. Not an "us" angle when it took all of us took get them where they are.

I wouldn't go around flaunting that police report there sailwind.

One witness says Troy Davis was wearing a white t-shirt, another a yellow t-shirt, another a tank top. One witness says Troy Davis weighed 130 pounds. Another says he weighed 150.

Why is it that none of the evidence on the police report matches up?

More importantly, why are you ignoring that none of the evidence on the police report matches up? Why do you right wingers like to see people die? Is your life better now that Troy Davis is dead?

You are a bitter lot, I'll tell you what.

I'm waiting for our right wingers to come here and complain about the barbarism of Iran. You know they want to. Yet all of them were behind the death of Troy Davis.

    They are an ironic bunch.

I don't think those of low income are necessarily being taxed to an oppressive degree at the present, at least no more than the majority of the population.

I totally agree. They aren't having to pay extreme amounts on their $22,000 and under a year salaries(poverty level for a family of four). Good point. Maybe they could pay a little more in taxes. Pull their weight. Put a little skin in the game, as they say. Don't worry about the kids. They'll get fed at school....during the school year...during school days.

The poor rich. I pity them and their predicament so. It just must be awful to have to pay all those taxes. There ought to be a law.

Oh, that tea party congressman I mentioned earlier (and yes, he's a tea PARTIER not anything else that will offend the delicate sensibilities of those in the tea party as they howl whatever insult they like on these threads without being edited), that 200,000 he was whining about having to live on...yeah, that's AFTER his congressional salary of $147,000.

This guy was complaining to Congress that he ONLY had $347,000 a year to live on and that's class warfare.

It is class warfare. The thing is this stupid bastard doesn't even realize he's won!

I found this very interesting from the supposedly fiscal conservative tea party:

Tea party Rep. John Fleming (R-LA) used himself as an example Monday while arguing against President Barack Obama's plan to make sure millionaires pay about the same tax rate as the people that work for them.

"In my own case, I own LLCs," Fleming told MSNBC's Chris Jansing. "The income flows to my personal tax return and whatever is left over after taxes are paid, I feed my family on the one hand and on the other hand, I reinvest in my business."

"With all due respect, The Wall Street Journal estimated that your businesses, which I believe are Subway sandwich shops and UPS stores -- very successful -- brought you last year, over $6 million," Jansing noted.

"Yeah, that's before you pay 500 employees, you pay rent, you pay equipment and food," Fleming agreed. "Since my net income -- and again, that's the individual rate that I told you about -- the amount that I have to reinvest in my business and feed my family is more like $600,000 of that $6.3 million. And so by the time I feed my family, I have maybe $400,000 left over to invest in new locations, upgrade my locations, buy more equipment."

"You do understand, Congressman, the average person out there making 40, 50, $60,000 a year, when they hear that you have $400,000 left over, it's not exactly a sympathetic position?" Jansing asked.

"Again, class warfares never created a job," Fleming replied.

This guy is claiming class warfare. He's making $200,000 a year and claiming class warfare.

Could you be more out of touch?

Until humans are ready to discard the shameless wasteful, cheap and throwaway ideology China has given us - over quality built to last products, the Chinese will continue to trounce us all by copying our ideas and cheap labour.

I'd welcome a return to built and guaranteed for life. And I'd certainly spend the extra money for those reasurances rather than accumalate junk that is built along the mentality of a Bic razor...

That's how I shop. That's why I went to mac over PCs. Because I'll pay a little extra to get a better quality product that doesn't leave me feeling cheated.
