Well I knew the republicans would do this and I think this is the issue that sinks them in 2012. Every Democrat running for office can tie the republican party to a big old "NO" on a jobs act when America is seeing 9%+ unemployment.

The Democrats have their issue. They voted for jobs for Americans and the republicans didn't.

That's going to play quite well in 2012.

If they want any credibility, in my opinioin they should target all of them, not just the ones who they disagree with politically.

I'm going take that one and throw it right back at'cha.

unreconstructedOCT. 10, 2011 - 04:08PM JST The people playing protester are receiving up to 650$ per week from from an ACORN- and Soros-affiliated group called Working Families.

    http://ibloga.blogspot.com/2011/10/craigs-list-ad-working-families-party.html

I did some researching into this one. It started as a blog post from a right wing blogger SPECULATING as to what he thought he was reading into a Craigslist ad. It mushroomed on the right wing blogosphere from there. It's pure horsesh#t.

It's nothing more than one man's speculation, run rampid on the blogosphere.

Here's the link to his manical rantings:

Scroll down to Monday - Working Families for proof that the above is not true but speculation and that my good friend, unreconstructed is either making stuff up or is really bad at researching things on the internet (either way, kind of a bummer for him).

It's quite disturbing to see video of police beating the Veterans for Peace and desecrating the U.S. flag in Boston.

It was like I was watching Bizarro World.

Quite a few Occupy cities are getting shut down tonight. Kind of a coinkidink there.

That's a real low blow by the Perry staffer, going after Romney for being a mormon. People's personal religion should be just that. Personal.

I looked at all the bills offered by the 112th Congress. Boehner has sponsored zero. There is no jobs bill. I checked.

I asked you where it was. You, instead of showing me, took the lazy way out and said check, so I did. There is no jobs bill from the republicans. They only want to repeal stuff.

    Sorry, that's the facts.

All of the bills are available at Thomas dot gov. Just fill in the proper search parameters. Or email Mr. Boehner.

Thanks! I checked that out!! Guess what? The only jobs bill proposed by the 112th Congress was offered up by a Democrat. Doesn't look very good for mr. boehner now does it? On the other hand, I heard he shaved a whole point off his handicap. SWEET!

Ruh roh, even the "base" is getting angry governor. They want their cheap labor back.

*ST. CLAIR COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - Lana Boatwright walks through a row--one of many--of ripening tomatoes. It's almost time to harvest them, but she says that likely won't get done.

She blames Alabama's tough new immigration law.

She and other farmers from St. Clair County's Chandler Mountain Community met Monday with State Sen. Scott Beason (R-Gardendale) to give him an angry earful of their woes brought on by the new law.

Farmers told Beason the law resulted in their migrant workers leaving the area and leaving them with a depleted workforce. That, they say, could cause economic disaster that could even shut down farmers on Chandler Mountain--farms that have been in the same families for as many as four generations.

Farmers say many of them left to find plentiful work in Florida, and took their workforce—not to mention state sales tax money—with them.*

Seems like everything's not so black and white in Alabama anymore. Things just got a whole lot greyer.

    arrestpaul,

You still haven't answered the question I posed. The republicans campaigned in 2010 on a "jobs" platform. Where are the jobs, mr. boehner? Where is the legislation?

Got it, I need help, could you both tell the U.s Govt to fund a program to get me well again? I'm sure a few your tax dollars will not be missed for worthy cause.

What's this? No, no, no. Mr "personal responsibility" (shouted loudly with a southern game show host drawl for effect) is going to have to pick himself up by his bootstraps. Isn't that what you are all about? Why is YOUR hand reaching for the government pocket, sailwind?

    It never ends.

    Globalwatcher,

Agreed. First of all, she was never qualified to be a president to run this country in my humble opinion.

I concur. She made that abundantly clear during the 2008 campaign.

As far as syphoning money from innocent people, she knew exacty what she was doing.

Again, I concur. That's what makes it so immoral. She is knowingly swindling these people (sheep) while calling Pres. Obama a crook. Ain't that a hoot.

She just skeeves me out, to be honest.

Allow me to translate that for you 'Verts.

I got my way. You have to accept that. Na na na na boo boo.

Funny now that sailwind ISN'T getting HIS way, his actions seem to have changed quite a bit, haven't they? Not so accepting himself, is he? It's not his fault, he's a conservative. It's a character flaw in all of them.

Said boehner: “We’re legislating. He’s campaigning.”

So where's the legislation? Two years and you got nothing. Not one sponsored bill to help with jobs. Not a single one. You're legislating my ass. This is what boehners doing:

"Rounds of golf: 100 plus. Golf expenses: $83,000. Membership at all male club: $75,000. Special interest travel including golf junkets: $159,000. Raising the retirement age to 70 and voting to end unemployment benefits: priceless. For those who want an out-of-touch pro golfer for a Congressman, there's John Boehner.

Republicans will simply do whatever it takes to ensure Obama is not re-elected. They have no concern as to the damage it does to the country. That is superflous to regaining the White House and for that reason and that reason only, they shouldn't be allowed to return. Honestly, there should be mass impeachments throughout Congress because some of the behavior has bordered on traiterous. I have never liked the republican party but what I have seen over the last two years has absolutely horrified me. That they would actually turn their backs on the American people, solely for political gain is so beyond me.

    But not beyond them.

I'm waiting for the right wing in the country to start calling hank a traiter like they did the Dixie Chicks. I'll be waiting a long time.

And what is it with conservatives and the first amendment? Why do they have no idea how it works? Not playing your crappy song prior to Monday Night Football does absolutely nothing to your first amendment rights you drunken git.

Hank Sr. must be rolling in his grave over this disgrace of a son.

    globalwatcher,

Indeed it may not be breaking the law, but is it what the people donated to her wanted the money used for?

She's been running around campaigning, or at least pretending to campaign, and she's gladly taken people's money.

She's been giving campaign speeches, with podiums and banners and a big bus, just like a candidate has.

If you are truly honest with yourself, I think you will agree with me that sarah palin has been acting like a candidate. She's never declared and until yesterday, she didn't say anything about it either way, but she never did anything like what Chris Christie did to let people know she wasn't running.

I truly believe she has been happy to play along like a candidate and as I have stated, I think that's pretty immoral. There are a lot of really slow people in America who look up to her and gave her money with the expectation she would run. There are quotes in the story to prove it. She took advantage of those people

People who do that are highly immoral.

    globalwatcher,

She has not received any PAC money

True, but this is America and it's 2011 so I wouldn't be surprised if someone tries to sue her for not running for president. And don't you think, honestly, that she was stringing those people along? She just happens to be taking her family on a all expenses paid trip across America and lo and behold ends up in Iowa during the Straw Polls...with a podium...and a microphone. Funny that. A little later, Mitt Romney declared himself for president and palin made an ass of herself in Boston, with her Paul Revere reference, but what everyone forgets, is that she was trying to steal Mitt's spotlight and ended up...well...pullin' a palin (of course it was all a liberal media conspiracy against her). But wherever the political spotlight has been, there has been palin...with a podium...and a microphone....and a stump speech....and her hat in her hand.

If it walks, talks, quacks, and swims, like a candidate, well in this case it's not. It was just meant to appear that way....with hat in hand.

Anyway, while I was checking to see if she had taken any Pac money, I ended up finding out a little about sarahpac.

Good stuff It really didn't do much to erase my opinion of her. She is a very immoral almost human being. Here's the goods:

Ex-AK Gov. sarah palin's (R) PAC spent more money buying copies of palin's best-selling book than it gave in contributions to political candidates, according to new FEC reports. The papers filed over the weekend show sarahPAC spent $47,777 on copies of "Going Rogue" during the last 6 months of the year. Meanwhile, she handed out just $43K in donations to candidates seeking federal office.

What a wonderful steward she is of the money she is given. Sterling example of fiscal ethics.
