this will always be used against you, never in your favor. they are trampling on our privacy. it will not be limited to japanese nationals, that's a lie. every single mug-shot gets into the database. all surveillance cameras will be sending pictures to the database. then comes the program that does the actual matching. it never works perfect, but that's ok, because if the program selects 10 faces that best fit the sought-after-perpetrator, it's a small price to pay that 9 or all 10 innocents get terrorized by the police as suspects. i wish that the people developing the algorithms be a victim of their bugs, small price to pay since they work to develop tools for state-sponsored for repression.

I wonder where's the meat from in mosbergers. Surely not "made in Japan". Nothing's made in Japan anymore...

this is so embarrassing. if true, this is the worst crime a scientist can commit. i imagine that many labs around the world are testing the same procedure, without being able to replicate it. this is almost surely pure fraud. in the end, the truth will come out, and if no one can replicate those seemingly fantastic results, it is punishment enough that the fraud be exposed, and no more tax money for fake, unethical researchers. if the results are proven true, then i hope they get a nobel prize.

the super-expensive swiss watches are not watches, they are status symbols, with a price tag so high that you can feed a poor family for a year.

the pharma industry in japan is a yakuza organization. the prices are brutally high for all medicines. everything is regulated absolutely. you can hardly buy aspirin over the counter. so i wonder NOT what the ad looks likes, but i rather wonder what profit is there for the j-pharma-yakuza with this?

already real money is virtual in usa and western europe, where you have no physical money with you, only cards. your money comes and goes virtually, in the cloud, and you never need to see it physically anymore.

but the bitcoin stuff sounds like pure scam. it is a virtualization of an already virtual idea. good luck to investors!

You are strolling past a cafe when a discount coupon flashes up on your smartphone, tempting you to go inside and purchase a drink

if you pay me lots of money to have a smartphone that nags me with unsolicited adverts all the time, i might accept this, but i'll for sure find a way to hack it to stop the nagging "minority report" style privacy intrusion.

lol, if it runs android, all the super-security is good for nothing. and if it has a galapagos home-made OS, then it will be a dead end, like most things japanese electronic giants are doing lately

yeah, they got complacent, no need to work, living off the royalties that all androiders must pay them, billions, much more than their windo$ or office

funny how the same JT publishes news on how little sex there is in japan, polls asserting that nobody wants it anymore because it's too much trouble, or people are too shy, and now you have love hotels bursting with couples queuing for days to get a chance to have an affair, some sex on the side, because they can't get enough at home. all this news is bullshit. people, japanese included, all they can think about is sex, and this is a good thing! ex is the most important thing in the world, even for the japanese, regardless of the other stories in JT that nobody does it any more here.
