Seems like even an Emperor can't get decent medical care here. According to the news in Japanese he will have a triple bypass. Too serious a condition for the less-evasive stent implantation. Weren't they monitoring his cholesterol or what he was eating? You don't wake up one day and have three clogged coronary arteries. Now they will have to crack open his chest to perform the surgery. After your chest is cracked open in that manner its never the same. I guess he cannot ask to go to the US for decent treatment...

Probably Assad is the lesser of two evils. If Assad leaves its a sure thing you will see burning American flag protests in the streets and Sharia law envoked, so don't think of Assad's action as a massacre -- its more like thinning the herd...

When Korea and Japan reached an agreement in 1965, Japan agreed to pay 180 billion yen (500 million dollars) indemnity and aid. Looking from Korea's point of view, this amount was 1.45 times Korea's national budget, and 3.8 times its foreign reserves. Most of this money was used by the Korean government for the nation's modernization. Korea says that it contributed to 20 per cent of its economic growth between 1966 and 1975, and 8 per cent annually to cover its trade deficit. From 1975, Korea also started compensations to individual citizens for personal losses during the war. However, on the whole, the Korean government chose to use the resources for national prosperity over compensation to private citizens.

And don't forget, the average worker with a 401k pays the same capital gains rate as Romney.

Lets see, 6 million people unemployed and another 6-plus million under employed. 43 million people (the most ever) on food stamps and Obama killed the Keystone pipeline (and thousands of jobs) to help his buddy Warren Buffett -- anyone who be better president than what we have now...

A vast majority of the 99% who work at companies offering 401k plans that are also taxed at 15% like Romney's investments, so what't the big deal? Most "rich" people become rich through hard work, sacrifice and risk-taking not watching "American Idol" following idiotic professional sports or listening to talking heads that spew our divisive rhetoric.

By age 25, if you are not a good pitcher, you will never "become" a good pitcher. Pitchers, like hitters, basketball players and quarterbacks are born with talent. Their abilities can be coached and tweaked, but hard work and long practicing cannot make a mediocre player great. There are only so many pitches in that arm. The clock is ticking the moment you throw that first pitch. Consider this: if Darvish makes 30 starts per year over his 6-year contract and management only lets him throw 100 pitches per outing, that figures out to be approx. $3,300 per pitch -- not a bad wage and too cheap by no means!!!

You have to be incredibly naive to believe stupid, poor people or even people of average intelligence and financial means could do a better job running the United States. Face it, a vast majority of national politicians are multi-millionaires and they earned that money through hard work or by gaining the academic credentials to be in responsible positions of government or industry. Romney was born into money; its not his fault, he could have become a trust fund baby but he decided to make something of himself. He did a pretty good job running a state, ran a successful business and turned a Winter Olympics into a great success. What did Obama do of any significance before becoming President?

Just because she slept with a great muscian doesn't mean the talent was transferred to her. I'm with gogogo; she needs to shut her pie hole. BTW, what ever happened to her son? Did he give up his singing career and is happy being a trust fund baby?
