What is it with old people and the compulsion to sweep the road at the crack of dawn. I leave the house at 6 a.m. everyday and see a number of these elderly folks sweeping and wearing dark clothing -- the driver is not 100% at fault...

Stimulus package a.k.a. just printing money. Most Japanese will just put the handout in the bank. Until Japanese change their mindset about savings and its usage we are in for another "lost decade."

If their international service is anything like their US domestic service, we are in a lot of trouble.

The best thing about the Obama victory, we won't have to listen to Hillary running for President any more. I hope she fades into obscurity...

The only reason I want Obama to win is then that should shut up Hillary for a while and she won't try to push her bug-eyed daughter into politics, too. Bad new is, Bill may become a Supreme Court Justice -- bet all his aides/law clerks will be female...

Obama will probably win, but when he screws up everything like Dinkins did in NYC I want to hear all the Jews and blacks who say "I didn't vote for him, don't blame me." Can you imagine someone fresh out of college and only two years working experience becoming the CEO of a major corporation. Obama only has two years experience in the Senate -- the other two years, he was running for President. When he was a (part-time) state senator he voted "present" over 130 times -- which means he would not commit to anything. He keeps talking about change -- yeah, how? He writes two books, but never once mentions his mother or grandmother -- guess he is ashamed of them.

I'm no McCain fan either. Romney was the only qualified candidate -- he ran a successful corporation, was a good governor and rescued the SLC Winter Olympics.

Obama would Dinken-ize America. If any posters lived in NYC during his administration you will know what to expect. Never trust polls, a ground swell of white voters in NY, Ohio, Florida and Pennsylvania could make McCain a shoe-in. Ever wonder why Obama's granny didn't show up at his nomination? Too sick you say; Teddy Kennedy has a terminal brain tumor and he was there.

At this point, any criticism of Obama can be constued as racist. Its like white comedians can never make fun of blacks, but black comedians rip the hell out of each other. How will we be able to critize Obama -- the moment you call him stupid, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton wiil be screaming. I

Unfortunately for Jobs, it doesn't look good. The corresponding five-year relative survival rates for pancreatic cancer are: 16.4 percent for localized (pancreas only) 7% are diagnosed at this stage 7.0 percent for regional (pancreas and lymph nodes) 26% " 1.8 percent for distant (metastasized) 52% " 4.3 percent for unstaged. 14% "

I seem to remember the famous computer science professor, Randy Pausch died of pancreatic cancer.

When Obama loses we will have to spend the next four year hearing Hillary say "I told you so" and she is setting herself up for 2012 by not antagonizing anyone in the Democratic Party now. With McCain we will get more of the same, but with Obama we will certainly see higher taxes, or at least taking more from the wealthy to give to the laggards in the US society. Both candidates have their strong and weak points -- the voters will have to weigh those points when they close the curtain and make their choice. Lets see should I vote for: 1) Colonel Sanders 2) Jimmy Carter (with a suntan) 3) None of the above

The problem with Japan and some other Asian countries is the mandatory retirement age of 60. Here in Japan many companies will allow you to stay beyond 60, but at a ridiculously low salary. My company told me the same thing, since I will be 60 in two year; a Beijing firm has already offered me a salary at my current level plus housing in an exclusive area – what would you do?
