Its probably great to be single when you are young and in good health, but what happens when you are old. A neighbor of ours divorced when she was very young and had no childred. At 85 she went around asking everyone if she could live with them and she would give them 30 million yen -- no takers...

Overwork was not the sole reason that killed him: Poor diet, lack of exercise, excessive drinking and smoking were probably contributing factors. I have consistantly worked 40+ hours of OT at my company, traveled overseas on average 8 times a year for the last 18 years with no discernable side effects AND I'm 12 years older than the guy in this article. I firmly believe anyone who watches their diet, drinks moderately, doesn't smoke and gets regular exercise can easily handle 40 to 50 hours of OT a month...

Can you imagine how long it will take to de-plane from an A380 carrying 800 passengers. I bet the plan is to reduce daily server to NY/DC and points in Europe to three or four days a week and pack the passengers in like sardines -- that's the way they will make money...

About 10 years ago Kim's son and family tried to sneak into Japan to go to Disneyland -- they were caught at Narita and can you believe we let them go -- that tells you how spineless the government is about solving the abduction issue.

I always remember when Gov. Cuomo was running for president many years ago. He was staunchly against the death penalty due to his (warped) religious beliefs -- the one that allows pedophiles to masquerade as priests. A reporter asked him if his own daughter were raped and murdered would he still be against the death penalty. I still remember his answer : "I will not dignify that question with an answer." I'd bet my summer bonus he would slit the rapist throat with a carpet knife in a heart beat.
My point is that all these posters who live in that self-righteous ether of praising the sanctity of life blah, blah, blah would sing a different tune if it was your daughter, grand-daughter, etc. that was killed by this monster...

30 months is the expressway here; it usually takes over 10 years to carry out the sentence. The moment the sentence is passed by the court and all the appeals have been exhausted, I think its up to the Justice Minister to sign the execution order at his discretion. Probably depends if he is having a bad day, or his mistress is too demanding or whatever, would set him off to signing an order or a number of execution orders...

After seeing his picture I remember what a dirt-bag he was -- but that wouldn't be a nice thing to say about bags full or dirt...
Yes, he was sick; however, he could have just sexually molested them, but no, he had the presence of mind to cover his crime by killing them. I'd like to have pulled the lever on this guy...

If Obama is the Democratic candidate, McCain is a shoe-in for president. The 800-pound gorilla no one is talking about is that blacks and hispanics get along as well as sunnis and shias in Iraq. McCain will take NY, CA, TX, FL, and the Bible-belt, so game over. That's why Hillary keeps saying Obama is not electable.

They should throw a fire bomb in his cell and say "we didn't mean to kill you." I wish the Japanese justice system would take note. About 10 years ago a worthless human being tried to rob a loan company here in Japan by spreading gasoline in the office and threating to ignite it if they didn't give him money -- they have him no money, so he set the place ablaze killing five employees -- you can guess he used the same lame excuse...

The number of suicides in the U.S. and Japan are about the same: 30K/year, so that would put Japan's suicide rate at a bit more than double over the U.S. Understandable given the rigid social structure here, close-mindedness to second chances and no-escape mentality not only due in part to their archaic language, but also because of being surrounded by water.

Okay Nicky-boy claims he befriends this other guy, asks him to watch his stuff while he buys something at a kiosk or goes to the toilet – at that point the Mr. Waffle puts a large amount of dope in Nicky bag. Have you ever seen anyone whose travel bag is not so full already that getting anything else into it (let alone a substantial amount of dope) would require a Herculean effort – think about that.
The question is, how did Mr Waffle plan on getting the dope out of Nicky bag once they made it through immigration inspection? Excuse me Nicky, I accidentally dropped a large quantity of dope in your bag, can I have it now. I prosecutor from a 3rd tier law school could get a conviction on that lame excuse without even cracking a law book.
