This isn't a gimmick: many people know that Coke, for example, tastes different in a glass bottle or can versus a plastic bottle. I can only imagine the further uproar if the Japanese were to sell this wine in plastic bottles with screw-on caps.

I'm surprised a cop was even there. 95% of the time when I walk by a koban it has that "we're on patrol" sign on the desk. Does that mean they're inside sleeping?

I've never been convinced that masks block the spread of germs. To a certain extent maybe, but 99%? I'm surprised the Japanese aren't buying more bridges and swamp land.

I always jump out of the way when masked strangers cough all over the place.
