This is the most you will see about this story untill another guy gets caught for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I don't know from this story if he was just sitting at the bottom of the stairs just looking up or he was just the next guys walking up the stairs like most of do on a daily basis headed to work. I know i look up when i walk, so i am wrong if the school girl is infront of me showing her underwear? No, that's when i step out and up and get ahead, but then again there is another one.....even my wife says its getting out of hand.

Not sure what I can say about this, either she was lucky as they say and this guy was hard up for some yenny's. the little girl and the tea had nothing to do with it, just give it up most of the time they leave right after, the tea thing would have pissed me off if i was the guy. again he was in his 60's, so fragile already only strong with the knife. What is it with knives here?!

The school boards are looking into changing the seasonal uniform for females to slacks. it has started in some the school, but remains optional. the reason for the change was health and welfare. Winter time they feel the slacks would keep children from becoming ill and as for welfare, well this article proves that.

Seriously JT, you have to choose, what is he? If he is a man, then say his name.
Moderator: The law prevents him from being named in the media.

papasmurf- dont you have to be japanese to get on mixi?
anyway- this isn't a crime, its her body, she's not randomly have movies made in dump truck or at MC'd's. Let her do what she wants, I dont see anything saying her husband had a problem with it.

Antizombie- It doesn't matter where or whom you marry, sometimes it just happens that way. I am married to a Japanese women, we are just like any other couple, sometimes you get in the sack sometimes you don't. I guess it depends on your partner and how comfortable they feel with you. I have no complaints.

Most people here are taking it way out of context, so what if they introduce new measure to provide all passengers security! You are giving the option of the pat down or the scanner, your choice, s&$* I'd take the scanner if it only took a few seconds of my time, I sure do hate taking off my shoes. This doesn't just happen in the U.S. for those who insist on just saying its U.S this and U.S. that......I agree with USNinjapan, its prior to entry (AT THE DAMN CHECK POINT), less of a wait for me in the line. You don't want to fly into the the U.S, fine with me too.

Taka313-
Very good post, I couldn't agree with you more. I feel the older you get here, the less likely you are to be polite to someone else. Where in Yokosuka?

Good on those who did help and those who commented on them helping. I served as an EMT for the U.S. Navy, the rule for approaching anything, was insure your safety first, that meant with all the proper gear(for emergency service personnel)!!!!. For those who helped and did what they did, I would have done the same thing at the drop of a hat. How could some of you just sit there and let someone die infront of you, have you had it happen to you before, you will never forget it. Someone said they would put a blanket on the stabbing victim (what the hell is the blanket going to do, you covering them because you believe they shouldn't be seen, or the blanket it self will provide them comfort in their last moments?!) how freaking cowardly, though the blanket my keep them somewhat warmer while in shock, you could at least use a portion of it to help control the bleeding which will give emergency service the time to arrive on scene. People like those who said they would like to help, but were afraid of getting sick, hope that i never get injured around you. Its not about just saving trying to save a life, but as TIMorBorder said "it would be nice to think that somebody would come to my assistance and at least hold my hand (especially if I were to cash in my chips)."

Going to and from work everyday is going to be a new adventure for me with all these crazies over here in Japan. Its like you never know who will go off the deepend. I'm always ready for anything to happen, I want to get my wife a police baton and show her how to use it. I get worried now that she sometimes comes home late from work. God forbid anything to happen, I wont let the crazy go untouched by my hands.

How can you be arrested on suspicion of murder, when there were bodies lying on the ground. I have yet to see the footage of this lunatics arrest, but am sure he was in another place that the blows he took from the baton did not faze him. I have had experience with an officers baton, they do some damage and for him to have taken the hits as some of you point out...he had to be on something or just totally gone. I read in another article he was grunting when he was stabbing his victims......he was crazy.. I don't think he should recieve the insanity plea, death will do him just fine. R.I.P victims.....
