Woman is a woman no matter where you are from, they are same in any language or country. Not really sure why its hard for foreign woman to find dates, if you need help...I have plenty of foreign friends. Oh, by the way I am an American living in Japan (not military) and married to a beautiful Japanese woman.

Ok. Everyone here does make a point, thats why this is open for discussion. Discipline can come in any form. Some prefer verbal/physical, each is its own. There are times when the verbal but kick isn't getting to your child (like many i see running the streets here in japan), that is when you turn to the old school methods. I agree with many of your comments, in this day and age parents do rely on schools to help groom their young, its not working (maybe with some, but most of that comes from the values your parents teach). I was good kid, but there were times i did "act a fool", verbal would not frighten me and I'd end up doing the same thing, but when I did get the belt (switch for some of the old school kids here) I learned not to be that fool. This was a good topic to discuss and see it from all its angles. I'm old school, if i have to say it more then once, you will get the hand across the backside.................

Cmeandu- Thank you, you understand where I'm coming from. If cleo would have read my original post, she/he may have understood me. Its ok though, this a place people can talk about their opinions, unless someone is like the boy who beat up the younger kid about some blog. both were under 17 and out way past their bedtimes. Thats where that "beating/spanking" comes into play.

All that needed to be known is she tried to kill her child. I'm not judging anyone on here, but people do make excuses for people like this.

Look cleo...A beating to me is letting your child know how things are going to be, I don't beat anything unless its warranted. If that mother had control of her child, he would have never left her side. You take me way out of context. A good spanking for when you act up, is good for a child. Trust me, I'm not abusive.

Cmeandu...i agree. Give her the rope and let her drope. It was a child!!! Don't care about the state of mind, or whatever anyone wants to put out there...she was smart enough to open her legs and get pregnant, she knew damn well what she was doing. She will burn in hell...

WAKAYAMA -- A 5-year-old boy was fatally hit by a train after he entered a closed railway crossing here, police said.
At around 4:10 p.m. on Tuesday, a local train bound for Tennoji in Osaka from Wakayama hit Sora Morimoto, 5, at a crossing on the JR Hanwa Line in Wakayama, local police said. He died from massive injuries he sustained to his body.
The 31-year-old driver of the train noticed the boy about 100 meters before the crossing and applied the emergency brakes but it was too late, according to investigators.
The boy was playing with some other children while his mother was in a nearby cosmetic store. He apparently entered the closed crossing following another child, police allege
This is what I'm talking about, bad parenting. I couldn't even leave from my mother's side. That was a big no no.

Regardless of where you are from, it all comes down to parenting. If you were raised by "unfit" parents, then you tend to lean towards the same style of parenting. When I see these children (all nationalities), i remember myself growing up knowing that if I even attempted to "act a fool" in public or at home, there were going to be some pretty good "beatings". I've been living in japan the past 9yrs and I see these kids back talk, hit, curse and just totally "act a fool", recieve nothing. I tell my wife, "if that was our child, oooh boy they going to get it right then and now". She's a littl on the passive side, I'm going to put the hurting when it needs to happen. My child will not grow up acting that way towars me. I didn't do it, they won't do it. Just like I said in another post, you beat your kids when they are young, they will grow up knowing they were raised right.

It doesn't matter what age this kid is, once you get in the mind set of beating someone to death, tried as an adult, death penalty. Slap him with the book, he's a punk for using a weapon and an idiot for even getting uspset about a post on a blog. Kids these days (everywhere) are crazy, that comes from horrible parenting. Beat your kids young, they will grow up right....
