We have heated discussions about elections in Britain, but we sometimes do agree with the other sides views.
I hope however wins, will be less likely to start wars. How many died in the last 8 years.

bamboohat- check how what percent vote in local and national elections. If those figures don`t make you realise Japanese are apthetic towards politics nothing will.
Kids are taught that speaking out and being dofferent, is causing trouble. Demonstrators are considered trouble makers, even if their cause is valid.
People put up with the Status Quo in Japan,that is why you have 60 odd years of LDP crooks in cahoots with the yakuza in power.
Japanese public, get a backbone and speak your mind, before it is too late.

bushlover- Japan and the LDP need bashing. Especially the LDP which allow ministers to spout xenaphobic claptrap, and the worse one of all being the favourite to win.
The apathy in Japans citizens is pathetic. Demonstrate, petition, do something to try to make your country better, instead of moaning against alleged foreign threats all the time.
I have never been in a classroom , since i left school, what is your point?

888naff; what a load of rubbish. Seen how Japanese behave after a few drinks? They don`T get arrested for drunkenness, and vile behaviour, but i know a friend of mine who was locked up for 2 days for falling asleep in a doorway when drunk. Public disorder apparently.
Japan treats prisoners like filth. The British bloke released recently for drug smuggling, lost toes due to frost bite. Maybe you should look at Japanese prisons behavior before spouting off about foreigners behind your Japanese rose coloured glasses.

What is wrong with these 2? Don`t they have social skills to get a "real" girlfriend.

Hey chaps, why not cool down a bit!! maybe at least accept each others views a bit and be respectfull for each other.
I think it is great this woman has a chance to be VP, she seems ok.
I don`t think any major changes are going to occur withing the US whoever wins. Wish a candidate was committed to decreasing the ever rising gap between rich and poor.
