Crystal Palace were the first British team to tour CHina in 1998/1999 season inclding a draw against the Chinese national team.
Also i remeber us beating Man U 5-0 in the 70's before they were stinking rich. Check there admission and season ticket prices. Real fans, real working class fans are priced out, for a bunch of glory hunters.
When i lived 5 mins walk away from Selhurst Park, i saw more peolle wearing Man U sgirts than Plaace, pathetic.
I don'T know eact viewing figures for Palace'S fist match with 2 Chinese players, but it was broadcast on national TV in China and was reported on news at the team as easliy the most watched match ever.

I support Crystal Palace and when we were in the Premier 3 yeras ago held Man U to a draw and we only had 10 men. Even though they have players earning more in a week than our entire first team. Money has destroyed football, only a handfull of teams ever win, and taht doesn't make the game more attractive.
ihavearrived- The most watched club match ever involved Crystal Palace ,as we were the first British team to sign Chinese players and half of CHina watched.
Also contrary to popular belief, we were the BRitish first team to tour China not Man UTD.
Alf, you speak the truth mate. Loyalty before winning for us real fans!!

Obama will not cope with demanding challenges, he has lack of experience and talent. USAFdude- The Obama military spending cuts may see you flipping burgers in Mcd's very soon, feel sorry for you, but you get what you vote for.

I also agree with Sarge. wise words indeed, the war had to end, shame there were victim, but that was Japans own fault for starting troubole.

Dualta- Britain has apologised and paid thousands of millions Pounds in aids to excolonial countries (with no strings attached). Aklso millions of ex colonial people live in the UK as Bristish citizens, can Japan say that about the sex slaves it abused. NO IT CANNOT. It even tries to play down and even deny the fact it evr happened, that is the difference.
British kids learn the evils of colonial rule , Japanese don't they learn they were liberators, check Japanese history textbooks online, if you don't believe me.
Where is the Japanese version of the Commonwealth? There is none, because nobody would join, becuase of japans behaviour. think about it people, the slave issue is relevent today, to help Japan repent and recover its honour.
Moderator: Britain's colonial rules is not relevant to this discussion. Please stay on topic.

northl;ondon If the British Government didn't give a damn , this wouldnt have come up. It has been spoken about at parliamentary level for several years now.
I suggest watch British news, ie News 24 or Sky news and see what British opinion is.
northlondon; Never forget the past and never repat your mistakes, something Japan should learn pronto.

cleo- You seem to live in an isolated "utopia" like region in japan, infamiliar to others residing in Japan. I was refuswed a credit card by my bank, my wife who applied at the same time was accepted. My in come is over 5 times hers. I asked for credit terms in electrical store Midori was refused for being "foreign", my wife who was unemployed at the time was accepted, even though the monthly payments were made from my bank account.
So Cleo, you seem an expert. There can't be discriminatuion against fgoreigners etc in Japan then.

I suggest those who complain gainst a country thst helped save the world from Japanese tyranny, has repented for its sins and who claim to be British citizens should change their nationality. Britain has a right to comnplain about thia issue, shame other countries don't as well. Japan is tainted by its refusal to accept and even truy to change it's evil deeds in the past. BTW the first nation to ban slavery was Britain. Japan = no repentenec, no welfare state, no repentance for bad things done in past, doesn't sign Hague convention . Britain = opposite on all counts.
Stop complaining about Britain expressing its views and start looking at Japan as the country it reallly is.

foreign firms rarely suceed here, due to xenaphobia. How many negative things cand the media say about foreign copmpanies and products etc?
Samsung have even pulled out of Japan for their TV's.
Buying a NOkia phone would be seen as buying, inferior, just because it is foreign.
Only a few foreign companies can survive in Japan.

The fact that this is happening, should ring alarm bells to those with power in Japan. Iimust say it is getting tiresome, the amount of pro Jpanese here, who have eother just come or never ser foot in Japan.
I care about Japan because i live here with my family. I want people to ba better protected by their governments and society in general be more open and caring.
How desperate must a woman be to do such a thing?
nigelboy- please stop trying to paint a rosy picture on anything japan or Japan related.
