  Urqinchina@: Back in 1800AD, Tibet was under Chinese rule by the Mongo Emperors, just a historical correction. Guam / Hawaii will need to be returned to their native people, I agree.

  I was in China last week, did not even see this article in the news or hear anything about this on the street. I think this article is being played out of proportion. Like those dudes in Black Vans around Japan preaching Militarism and Japanese Nationalism, no one takes them seriously, as is this article. Although we need to acknowledge the links of the Okinawaian natives to China but since WW2 Japanese mainlanders now flood Okinawa, hard to find a native now.

  @KnowBetter Chinese produced products are crap becuase buyers from your contry pay next to nothing to have it produced and then sell it to you in order to make the most for your own country. Chinese should gt smart and stop producing for others and start to be a bit more like us, produce high value products.

  So should we torpedo the American Subs that come into Okinawa, often without prior consent from Japan?

  We just need to resolve the territorial dispute, once done there should be no issues.

  @Harry_Gatto: Tibet has been under Mongol rule for over 1400 years, so what about Tibet? I think the more important issue is Guam, Hawaii, Okinawa..... Western colonialism is justified?

  These buildings are spetacular and built to superior quality. They should be kept, no questions about that as part of their history.

  OssanAmerica@, its not keeping buildings for hatred or nationalism, its like the American's keeping that ship off Hawaii on top of which Japan signed its surrender. Same thing! Heritage.

  Government subsidised sex change.... If the surgery is mandatory, I don't mind but if not, I think its not propoer use of tax payer money. Fortunately Japan don't have this.

  Forgot to mention, China's just talking it up to justify US presense in Okinawa, something that I think should not happen. US troops should move back to US. Don't buy those F35, useless junk, use the money to create jobs for young Japanese.

  Childish, if a diplomatic complaint needs to be raise based on news articles or research papers, both China and Japan will be very busy. considering some of the China bashing articles from Japan, and vice versa.
