Silly people. Doesn't Mr. Lew have to say this to placate S Korea, Europe, and most of all American corporations in abject fear over what companies like Toyota will be able to inflict on them with their record stash. Mr. Lew was actually ambivalent and offered no such rebuke the likes that China gets. Me thinks the smart money is still being bet on an ever weaker yen.

Poor lady, something must be very wrong to need food like that. Hope she gets help and a chance to get back on her feet again.

What a great place to be! Toyota is poised to dominate and consolidate their position as the world's top automaker. Great symbol of what every company in Japan and there are many greats, could aspire to.

If ANA were serious about gaining traction overseas they would partner with local stars or players.
This was a marketing decision that was probably made without the use of any surveys or understanding of their target audience which should include Asian business travelers.
I love ANA but the uniforms are beginning to look a bit dowdy... Virgin, Cathay, Singapore and even Delta's duds look more stylish.

Time to leave smokers alone. They are doing nothing illegal and if you find it so repulsive then go some place else. Trust me there is probably something about you that the smoker can't stand but at least that stick of tobacco is providing a degree of forbearance that many of the posters on this site obviously lack!

It's amazing they are able to keep it going as well as they do all things considered. Given that the disaster should have probably eclipsed Chernobyl X10 speaks volumes as to how well they've managed this given all that people still do not know.

@Disillusioned
You are assuming the kid was not being safe. And what school are you talking about???
Pedestrians here are constantly yielding to anxious truck drivers who are more worried about meeting their strict drop off and pick up quotas or feel their vehicles are tool to push their way past pedestrians that have the right of way. And if the kid was careless or not it still (at least according to Japanese traffic law) the responsibility of the driver to be able to adequately brake.

@kringis - this should embolden homosexual couples to come out outside of industries that accept them like entertainment, fashion, and cosmetics. Homosexuals deserve recognition of their rights including civil unions. It's not easy but nothing worthwhile ever was.

Great move Disney. This is the world we live in and two consenting adults deserve a chance at love and a happy ending just like anyone else. I wish them all the best that Japan and the world has to offer.
They are a beacon for others seeking to bravely express their individual identities in the face of bigotry and H8ers.
