    Totally depends on what your hobbies are, if you have any debt to pay back and what you do with your money once you get it!

    Because they are SO boring, the only thing they have to fill their tiny lives is obsessing and exchanging platitudes about the utterly banal.

    Here are some from me;

    -Every building looks like a prison. No care goes into design; it is all basic functionality or beauty. -Rubbish doctors -Total lack of a decent sense of humour with most people I meet; back in England I would often find myself having a laugh with complete strangers at something bizarre and silly. Never happens here -Not enough young hippy kids to keep the suits in check. Everything is so regimented; even the Mum's in the local elementary school all wear the same sodding coat. -People don't open the windows anywhere. Always closed, with some kind of air processing going on, no matter what the time of year. Seems they are scared to just let the outside world in. -Banging around in my office is seen of a sign that a person is working. Trust me mate, it isn't. -Shuffling is acceptable. Pick your feet up! -Bad breath -Salarimen staring, glaring, judging despite being basically a walking toadmen themselves. -Nobody has a shower in the morning! Disgusting! They have a bath / shower at night, then sleep for 6-8 hours in a sweaty bed, put their clothes on and go to work. Rank!!

    Etc.

    Thing is though, even before I arrived in Japan, I didn't really expect them to behave correctly, so none of this is a surprise. Just disappointing confirmation, I guess.

    I am sat here with my girlfriend. She is the kind of girl who goes to young girls high fashion shops, which are all crammed into the same building (ie, 109 in Shibuya / Arche in Omiya). We are sat here translating all your comments and she is agreeing with most of them.

    Her addition for you, to prove that it is not just foreigners who find things ridiculous is this;

    She went into one shop to have a look around, in Arche Omiya, walked out the shop, and the staff all waved goodbye. She walked literally 3 metres over to another shop, had a look around and decided to go back to the previous shop. The staff all shouted 'Okaeri!!!!!'.

    She was thinking 'shut it, spacks'.

    Haha, it seems JT is falling back on standard internet holy wars to increase bums on seats on this site.

    To play along; Android is an operating system, the iPhone is a phone. So, if I was going to go for an OS, with only one choice, I would go for that choice, wouldn't I? Same with the iPhone. Given the choice of only that, I would happily use it.

    But, personally speaking, to answer what I think JT meant, Android phones are better to me. I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, on Docomo and it is wicked.

    Sarcasm321; agreed. Utter, utter rubbish. The Koreans are churning out slightly less sinister rubbish though, so if I had to choose one, it would be them. My prediction; now that the image of more mature and non-kiddy women is pulling in the cash, we will see a massive shift in the image of AKB48 in an attempt to cash in on that.

    I ride a road bike worth over 1.5 million yen, and not once have I been stopped on that (they would have to stop me when I am sat at the lights, granted).

    I also ride a crappy 10,000yen Mama-Chari, and have been stopped on that loads of times in Tokyo and Saitama.

    My reasoning; either a; if I am on my racing bike, with full racing kit on, helmet, and shoes clipped into my pedals, the chances are the bike is mine - would have to be a pretty opportune day that I could walk out of my house dressed head to toe in lycra, and find an unlocked road bike that not only fitted me perfectly, but also had the same manufacturers pedal cleating system as the one bolted on the bottom of my shoes.

    b; the cops don't understand proper bikes, and would rather target slow mama-charis that are easy to stop and not unusual and therefore scary to them.

    Probably somewhere in the middle of the two, come to think of it, although logic would dictate that if I was indeed riding a stolen racing bike of a value similar to mine, that would be a much bigger bust for the cops than a cheap bike.

    Haha, great work that man! This reminds me of Reno 911! when Jim Dangle does exactly the same thing, only to find his bike was stolen by Travis Jr.

    You see, I don't mind them when they dress up properly like this. It is when they constantly represent the Japanese paedo fetish of underage school girls that it turns my stomach.

    And yes, some excellent legs on display here! Just look at that muscle tone...

    @Serrano; I said 'nice thick' not 'bad thick'. I love the shape of the legs of the girls here. Nice and stacked, with loads of muscle definition.

    Amazing.

    And I agree, they are perfect.
