    North Korea knows full well that the US and its allies are not plotting against it militarily (in other ways - hell yes). The North knows that they dont have the stomach for another war in Korea. Kim-ill-suited-for-power also knows that if he starts anything itll all be over quickly, and the outcome wont be pretty for him and his lapdogs. The north simply doesnt have the resources to prosecute a war.

    Which means, all this is the same blow-hard rehtoric weve always heard from the diminutive dictator. Hes chucking a tantrum to get more candy to shut him up.

    Any Asian Airline has quality customer service in my opinion. I`ve flown JAL, Cathay, Singapore, Malaysian, Korean, Thai - all great.

    The worst. I flew United once, and couldn`t wait to get out of that tube. The "waitresses" need to distinguish between the concepts of "service", which comes with a smile, and "servitude", which rhymes with attitude - thankfully it was a short flight Narita to Incheon.

    But, the absolute worst, Pakistan International Air. I dont even know where to begin. Never again, Id rather break my fingers with a hammer than fly that airline again.

    1. Get those kids to bed at a reasonable hour. 6 year olds shouldn`t up at 10pm at night.
    2. Invest in a child-seat for your car - and put in the back seat, not the front-seat. BTW, no, you lap is not a safe place for your child when you`re driving.
    3. Dont smoke when the kids are around - dont you know it stunts their growth, which makes them easy prey for the school bullies, which in turn turns them into withdrawn sociopaths.
    4. If youre going to watch your kids, WATCH them, dont be texting while your child is playing near the river bank.
    5. In the same vain, don`t be texting and pushing you child out into the middle of a busy street in a pram (screech, grdunk, grdunk, screech).
    6. Kids on bikes, whether passenger or rider, need helmets - young soft skulls get squishy real quick.
    7. Hug your kids and tell them you love them, dont smack them and tell them theyre stupid.
    8. Most important, let them be kids once in a while. No, the six day school week with cram school until 10pm everynight was NOT a good idea.

    Im with Bento on this one. Nuthin to do with fate, just missed a plane and hit a truck ... and we all know driving is degrees of magnitude more dangerous than flying. Tens of thousands die on roads around the world every year.

    All Airlines turn their planes around quickly. If its not in the air, its not making money. Usually the most time they spend on the ground is during scheduled maintenance. Any other time spent on the ground is just costing money. That`s the business.

    Prohibitions similiar to this often turn up in employment contracts, but can be struck down if they are found to be too braod and restrictive - so, "never work in the entertainment industry again" mmmmm, too broad and restrictive? I think so.

    Let the show go on - I`d like to be there cheering her on.

    If her plight is genuine, I feel for her. But, if she owns just one of those boring, expensive bags, then no sympathy - learn to manage your money properly.

Provide a stable economic environment, a sound economy which allows people to be independently prosperous (relatively speaking) and give everyone easy access to a basic education which encourages a curious and questioning mind. And have a well trained and disciplined defence force which carries a BIG stick.

    The Taliban will always be a problem, but with these things in place they will only ever be a group of fringe crazies, a canker on the arse of society.

    Prosperity will trump self-destructive ideology everytime, and work hard to crush it.

    Appeasement never works (well, historically at any rate).

    Strange argument. For all the examples in which you profess to have some modicum of faith (or not), you give your reasons why - "...faith in Toecutters promises - 0% (wise), dont know him, no history...", "...faith in best friends promises - 90%, never lies, cares for me ...".

    I get it - your faith in these things is based on evidence.

    But then, "...faith in a good god with thousands of years of history and a personal relationship, infinite."

    What happened? You were doing so well until then. The fact that a fable has been passed down through the years/centuries does not make it any less false than when it was first told.

    "... a personal relationship...", have you met god?! That would make you unique (or you have access to some good drugs).

    But you are right, I used "faith" too generally. "Blind Faith in god", "blind faith in the truth of the bible, the koran, or whatever other relgious text you subscribe to" - this is the blindness I was referring to. Where is the solid evidence of the truth of these things? There`s plenty of evidence that stories were told - but none as to the truth or accuracy of any of them. Especially the god nonsense.

    They are simply the stories of mortal men, sometimes amusing, entertaining, fodder for movies and fiction, useful for scaring children - but nothing more. View them as morality tales by all means, but don`t subscribe to the truth of them simply because they have "...thousands of years of history..." (BTW, define "history" - I think you mean "longevity").

    Of course, lopping my head off wouldn't make it any less true. Blind faith (any faith) is simply blind.

    In countries which maintain a separation of church and state, and provide a stable political and economic framwork, any number relgions can (and do) co-exist quite peacefully, and often change and adapt.

    A strong education system based on solid foundations (i.e. NO intelligent design stupidity), and the means to provide oneself with an economically secure way of life will overcome fanaticism in any form, eventually.

    Ignorance and poverty are your enemies, not Islam, Christianity, Animism, Buddism or whatever.

    There is no god. You`ve wasted your lives.

    Faith of any flavour is simply a means of keeping you in your boxes, ignorant and malleable.

    You`ve all built you lives on the old stories of mis-guided men. And they were just men, not sons of god or prophets - just men.

    Stories based on nothing more than faith are just stories, and repeating them over and over again through the centuries doesn`t make them any more true.

    Go with god, fools.

    Take them to a Womens Hospital - make them look in the bucket, see what their scheme would have done had it been successful, then prosecute them for assault. Recommend 100 hours of community-service to be completed at a community based center assisting the differently-abled.

    Oh, and a good flogging probably wouldn`t hurt.

    Listen carefully folks:

    UFOs dont exist. This needs no further explanation - just think it through. There is no JFK conspiracy. After all this time we still have no evidence of it .... that`s an awful lot of people keeping a very big secret. AIDS is not some biological-warfare experiment gone wrong. Viruses mutate, adapt and cross-over - live with it. 9/11 was witnessed by millions - it went down the way you saw it. No conspiracy, just fundamentalist/fascist terrorism. Diana dies in a tragic accident. Do you really believe she was important enough for the resources of an entire Nation to be used to assisinate her and then cover it up? Not to mention how many people would have to be keeping that one a secret too.

    Let them all go - get on with your lives.
