Figure skating judging is always an issue. I was listening to the European broadcast of the women's final and they said that Nagasu had the 2nd best long program and the judges had her as the 5th best on the day.
There are always mysteries with judging this stuff.

That was an exciting race! Team Japan was leading all the way until the finish line when Team Germany squeaked past them by 0.02 seconds. Ouch!

I saw the race and it was pretty good... Always too bad when things happen and teams/individuals get DQ'd.
And yeah, the South Korean coach was very angry and yelled at the judge. I wonder how the newspapers in South Korea will handle this.
