Another sad driving day. And someone has to explain to that teacher's children that their teacher is dead. Very sad day in that school too. Wow! Drunk drivers. When will they ever learn?

Wow, very close to a U.S. military installation too. So many lives in danger even though there was no actual explosive device.

Not too much will happen to the 15 year old girl. She is a minor and will only spend some time in juvie and then be released to her father. If this were the United States, she would probably be tried as an adult. Very sad story and a horrific way to die. Sad.

So now it will really be a "Canadian High"! How ironic with a name like: Canada will take steps next year to legalize marijuana, Health Minister Jane Philpott announced on Wednesday. Good news me thinks.

Strikes me a bit strangely why this even made the front page of JapanToday... My exact words. Why this site?

He will be released in due time. It's just a scare tactic by NK. Someone will bail him out. Not a smart move on his part, but he'll learn.

There may be more crimes committed by local nationals than U.S. Service personnel, but we are the guests and must behave accordingly. If we commit a crime, it will stand out far more than if a local commits a crime. Please remember that even if a SOFA-sponsored member commits a crime, it reflects negatively on all U.S. Citizens living in Japan with or without SOFA sponsorship. There are many non-SOFA military veterans/retirees who call Okinawa home, and as such, we are negatively affected by this poor behavior too. But first, let the Sailor have his fair day in court. Be happy folks and like Ausin Powers says "oh, behave!"

Harry: Bathroom refers to such facilities in a private home. Restroom refers to such facilities in a restaurant, school, shopping area, or other public venue. Lavatory refers to such facility on an aircraft, and if you're familiar with U.S. Military jargon, Head refers to a toilet on board a boat/ship. No matter how you flush it, its all almost the same. Happy flushing!

Guess he didn't dodge that bullet, huh? Anyway, I don't think this is the end of his world. He will probably just have to apologize in writing, get a slap on the wrist and carry on.

177 mph winds is very strong but if that is the strongest winds they ever had in the southern hemisphere since recorded time, then I think they are pretty luck all things considered. Here in the northern hemisphere, there have been hurricanes and typhoons with winds exceeding 200 mph. Still, wishing you all a speedy recovery. Stay safe!

No global warming in Okinawa this coming weekend. It will be a record-cold weekend. Possibly with sleet.

He's lucky he's not in prison for a very long time. I thought Singapore was very strict regarding possession of illegal substances. I'm very surprised.
