Very bad that this happened and my condolences to the families of the deceased. Just thankful this did not happen here in Okinawa. They would be having a field day with us in terms of protests, etc. Be safe people!

Calling terrorists animals is an insult to animals. Animals kill strictly for survival/food/defense. Terrorists kill strictly because they terrorist thugs. They are lower than maggots!!!

Delta Airlines on a cross-country USA flight was great in the air and on the ground; I like DL. China Airlines was great as well on my many flights from Okinawa to Frankfurt via Taipei; CI has improved over the years. I've never flown Singapore Airlines but I'm pretty sure they are great. And now for my top choice? AMC (Air Mobility Command): I fly for free (sometimes just have to pay a small tax on certain flights) on U.S. military flights and they are THE best. Yes, it sometimes means flying with cargo but military air crew members are just outstanding! No fake smiles and they take care of families like almost no other airline. So AMC is my pick!

He's lucky to have been arrested in Japan. He will do much better in a Japanese prison than an American prison. Still, his life is basically over. Sad story and sad to hear an American did this over here.

I see dump truck drivers as THE worst drivers around. They wait until only a few meters before an intersection to force their way into the far left lane because they didn't have "time" to wait in the longer left hand lane. They mow everything and everyone down just to get to their destination. And of course let's not forget the infamous flashing of their hazards which "gives them permission" to run red lights long after it has turned red. Of course I don't know what happened in this accident other than reading the article but it surprises me that there aren't more such accidents. Let's just all be safe.

American makemanship, gotta love it! When will people learn that you should never jump into firmware updates right away. Let the other guinea pigs try and see what happens. Same thing applies to buying new gadgets, wait a while to see how they are before jumping in and buying something that hasn't been tested. I'm a real Apple fan, but things go wrong. Be patient.

Yes, I too was baffled by the age range. An 8 year old girl is not going to look like a 15 year old and vice versa. Strange, very strange. Still, very, very, very sad story. Just awful. Catch the perp!

Just left Singapore two weeks ago. I go there every year just for the sake of visiting there and for Geocaching. I really like Singapore. Intelligent people and very safe. Happy 50th Singapore!

Love the wording here. "Forceable obstruction of business". More like terrorist threat. That is a very serious life-endangering threat. Wow!

Okinawa seems to be the coolest spot during the dog days of summer. Yes, Okinawa! Love it down here. It's hot but at least there's plenty of breeze and it's not as humid as people say it is. Mornings and evenings are humid but during the day the humidity can drop to as low as 60 to 70 percent. Not a bad deal.

I never knew "Quaaludes" was spelled that way. Hmmm... Seriously though, I'm heart broken too. I grew up with Cosby as well. "Hey, hey, hey...it's Fat Albert". Sad.

Unless the driver (regardless of nationality) was extremely negligent (speeding, DUI, left the scene, etc), he will not be put away in prison. His insurance will pay, he will apologize, end of story. An accident is an accident and partial fault is on the parents as well. Cars belong on the street, not unsupervised children.

All this big news over her and very little will happen. The authorities just want to show "the world" what they can do and marvel over the fact that they can keep people in custody for 23 days without an indictment. She will be released and sent home back to the United States. End of story - forgotten.
