Mr. Abe, when are you going to build a coast guard and weather stations on the Senkaku islands? Booths on the ground is a sure fire way to tell the world that the islands belong to Japan. Use it or loose it. Make up your mind and take decisive action.

You see the sneaky way the Chinese will try to get an edge around the islands. PM Abe need to put an early warning radar, weather, and coast guard stations on the Senkaku islands SO that there is doubt that the islands belong to Japan as it did before the war when Japanese fishermen used the islands to process their catch.

Emperor Akihito should be granted his wish and retired with pension with the rest of the aged populace. He can keep an eye out for Naruhito and ease his way onto the throne.

More reason for the Japan to build Coast Guard or weather station on the islands. Japan must show some backbone and firmly establish footprints on these islands before the Chinese can land troops to reclaim them.

You can count of the US military to provide drama on Okinawa. Keep up the good work and have another cold one on Uncle Sam. Make sure you have your seat belt on when driving drunk of the public roads of Okinawa. Maybe some more incidents of rape, murder, killing civilians on the road will force the US to withdraw its military from Japan.

VP Biden thinking aloud to President Xi regarding nukes by Japan is not the only person who thinks Japan has all the components that just need to be put together. Wouldn't surprise me if they are hidden underneath the Alps.
Tom WebbJun. 19, 2016 - 01:32PM JST
The US should pull the military out of Okinawa. The US military is no longer needed for the defense of Japan.

Yoichi, just quit. No explanation is needed. You are a thief just like a common criminal. Hide out at your resort hideout and don't stick your neck out trying to explain your criminal actions. As a resident of Tokyo-to, I am really teed-off at what you did.

I hope the Tax people can find something to put this gangster in prison. Should never vote a poor person into the Tokyo-to governor's office.

Donald, if you become the next prez, just bring the boys home from Japan. Japan doesn't need the US military presence any more. She has a good defense force capable of taking out North Korea in an overnight blitz. The US has boomers in the Pacific if anything with China ever happens. So, save the taxpayers money and bring our boys home from Japan.
Tom WebbJun. 06, 2016 - 06:24AM JST
Bet the NRA can fund this outing. New prez elect is smart, if the police can't do the job, let the public get rid of gangsters, dealers, and terrorists.

Japan no longer needs the protection of the US. It's time pull the US forces out of Japan. Japan has a good military to defend herself. If necessary, she can always produce some nukes with all that plutonium stockpile and threaten North Korea and China.

I don't trust the government's report. Think this is a head's up report to get in front of seafood shortage caused by over consumption by the Japanese. Several years from now, when the world wakes up to the fact that over fishing and consumption by the Japanese lead to shortages, the can site this report and states that they didn't eat all the tuna.

Apology for what?? A-bombs saved a lot of Japanese lives. An ground assault by allied forces into Japan proper would have resulted in much greater death toll. The US do not owe an apology for the A-bombings. Obama should cancel his visit to Hiroshima.

Why is the government legislating on pay? Unless it is for government workers?
Posted in: The ruling and opposition parties are divided on a bill to revise the Labor Standards Law, which would introduce a pay system for “highly professional workers” basing their salary on performance, rather than on number of hours worked. What's your stance on this?
