    All seems to be talking trash or living in some dream world of their own. This is reality that we are speeking here , not some mental blockage of the facts. We need a drastic change in all directions because over , especially the last eight years we have lost all credibility and the support of most of our allies around the world and we are driving lost!

    I should connect that statement about Goergia, why in the world were they the largest contributor to troops in Iraq when we have such great allies??? What allies???????? This is the friendship these radical republicans has created for us around the world.. Yeah I feel much more safe when it comes to needing help with international issues and problems. What has happened to our friends and allies guys???.

    John McCain has years of experience... What a line when looking at the years gone by.. The US has been in a downward spiral for even more years than McCain's experience and with his experience the downward trend kept going and going and going down hill like a non-stop train, and has only took a faster speed in the last eight years..

    Like this type experience? I sure the hell don't. I see the US loosing support of our allies and why all we look at when it comes to foreign affairs is decisions made by the US, decisions made on the one element of , can we do this on our own. When Georgia was the largest contributor to troops in Iraq, that just blew my mind finding that out.

    BooBug you make a god point about these other nations. When I look at the metal count chart I do first look at US and China totals, but then I go down the list and see what countries have medaled at all and I am certain even if a country has one bronze and nothing else there is s sense of pride because looking at the countries that some are so impoverished I feel for them that they have accomplished something that seems unimaginable for some of these countries. I am sure the people take great pride in a showing of competitiveness that gave them some shine in the eyes of turmoil and desperation..

    I also agree with the events that are being judged and metals given out as for placement in events.. As with all Olympics there has been many scores that has shown favoritism and that goes with the gymnastics especially. Under aged or not, the judging was bias and besides that , China is a cheat when lying and making false passports of ages of competitors that are fake, what a bunch of goons they are and has always been. I hope it is found out just to tarnish more the chance to prove to the world that they are a society coming into the global arena, which they are not ready for because they are still a country based on deceit and lies, thanks to the leaders that try to control everything of every day life of the people and always projecting a false face and image. I find China just as it has always been in the past, nothing has changed mentally and is still a society based on the will formed by the government of doing anything to try and show they are of a elite race. Which they are no better than anyone else in the world, including a nation that has only taken one bronze metal. That is a real difference when wanting to take a place as a world power and that is respecting human beings and China does not!!!!!!!

    I also keep hearing this trash Bush talk about invading Iraq again and again, but one point is that the US has always sided on those that did not have the power to rise above suppression of dictators, so even with Iraq that stands true, even if it was for the main reason of oil, which I am certain Bush and his crew had mainly on their minds, or we would have been in Burma a long time ago decapitating the military rule over those people, which Burma before that was said to the jewel of Southeast Asia and so beautiful in all aspects, but that is another topic. We know the Oil of Iraq played a decisive roll in the US going into Iraq, or was it the assassination plan for the Sr. BUsh while over there, or was it just plain reasoning of the people of US at the time of desert storm saying the job was never done under Bush sr. Whatever, US did not cause or is responsible for anything Russia has done with Georgia. Russia invaded and is supporting separatist groups within Georgia and invaded a democratic country with a leader voted in to lead by the people of Georgia, and as I say again, this would be the very same as another country supporting chetnia rebels and moving into Russia to fight for them. Russia is completely in the wrong and I just wish Georgia had the means to have shot down every bomber and every other aircraft that invaded its air space, the same with on land. I am hoping in the future these break away states have the means to make Russia suffer serious consequences in any move like this in the future. Right now Ukraine should be armed by its allies to give Russian troops resistance and the ability to counter any insurgent upon them by the Russian forces, at least to cause them casualties on land and in the air. This move by Russia is against a sovereign state and a country that elected its leader by democratic means and what the majority of the people wanted, whether Russia likes it or not or whether the majority of people like it or not. If these people do not like what the rest of the people of Georgia voted on then they should get out and move to Russia if that is their wish, It gives them no right to split the country of Georgia or change any borders of Georgia, and especially Russia has no right to do so.

    Aday you keep blaming Bush and the US, you are way off of what is right and wrong especially when trying to make an argument on a topic that concerns an action against a democratic state with a leader voted in by the people and of a state with defined borders, I hope you do not think it is right or good of Russia to have done so, but also Russia’s actions can not be backed by using the US as the base of such actions that Russia has taken against a country that is nothing but a democracy based on the people. What is a shame is NATO members having to be so dependent on Russia for energy to where they have decided they have no choice but to look on and not take any decisive action against these moves, now that is the pits!!!!!! NATO might as well be dissolved!!!!!!!!!!! Just as the UN, both has become nothing but organizations that is a waste of money and of no power or direction of rightfulness or supporter of such.. Totally worthless, as we see with Russia's actions!!!

    Terrikus, from all the different reports I have read it does state all 56 ethnic groups were substituded with Han chinese children, Some concentrate on Tibetan Children, as it is a hot topic at the time

    Proud Korean... If you have not realized , when there are posts against China, those that wish to take a side pro-China will take any miss quote, grammar or spelling and change the issue to that mistake. I have learned that again and again, over the years. So if I catch something before submitting a post I will change it or try to correct it immediately with a follow up. But there are times I get in a hurry and read it later after posted and think, wow I am going to be criticized on this one.

    awordfish, I did do a search and found an article covering more than just the one incident I was referring too. This is sad and just one of the reasons that has shaped my opposition towards the system in China and why Human rights has to be a must for China and its continuation integrating into the global community. It is for the billion people with out a voice, without power or enforcement of laws to protect basic rights. I do not hate Chinese people, what I hate is the people living under unfair representation. pr no representation on many fronts and the only way these changes will take place is pressure and a price to pay by the CCP if they do not fall in line to society being the main element shaping society in China. No matter the argument I disagree that this is the case today when people can not speak out, or are afraid to speak out.

    I am pointing out the connection and the norm of the CCP and to make excuses for them is just trying to forget or ignore the problem with the leadership that has kept its grip over society that has only hampered the rise of the people as a society based on the people, which now is based on those that have silenced them and belittled them.

    To take one issue and try to consentrate on it as a single development or issue and try and keep it separate from the other thousand incisents going on continuously in China is a mis representation of the truth, or whole issue. If there is repetition , and If you follow the topic of China, I am sure you see acts of repatition with human rights violations, which all comes down to human rights, any way as I was saying,,, If there is repetition in acts against society or breaches in human rights, then all is connected and this shows there is a problem with this type of rule. To make on incedent seem small and another one just another small incedent is not holding these guys responsible for their power exerted upon its helpless citizens that have no power. This is what I try to get across and for people to realize. That it does no good to make excuses for those that are the sole barriers of responsibility of the belittlement of people and this instance is just another form of the belittlement of the people of China by the CCP and its system forced upon 1.2 billion people.

    Just wondering.. What did you think of the substituting the local Chinese children playing them off as Tibetan children for a show of show social harmony to the world?

First off since you have been enlightened By the name Zhoa Zyang, it seems your back ground on China is not that extensive or just been kept from that information if you are from China, Many sites are available and the international attention the Tiananmen Massacre received across the world it surprises me you have not read in depth about it if you are interested in China. I regret I do not have a list of all the articles I have read and gathered information from to enlighten you more of to where my so called rant and accusations originated from. It is not rant when it is truth and it is not accusations when based on regular activities of China’s government from the past and of the present as a norm. At one time I use to save articles I found informative and interesting about China, believe it or not. !00,000 troops sent into a rural farming area, farmers shot dead from protesting, which I forget the details right now, but there is always one thing after another and it all comes down to the violation of just the basics of human rights.

    Secondly I do not have to prove you are anyone, as your words, thoughts and ideas pretty much tells everyone who you are as a person and what your perception on the issues are, just as my words shape my character and beliefs.

    Then you tell me to show proof that the CCP belittles its people.. Come on what is this?

    I do not see it as poor sportsman ship. When some one is screwed by the judging, I find it ok to show disrespect for the judging just as the judges showed disrespect for the competitor. I have seen and reporters have seen many calls and scores of events biased and it is sickening to watch wondering how it would be nice to get your hands around the necks of those dishonest biased judges.

    I am with him all the way. What is funny is the article stating him as being stripped of the metal. I am sure he has to laugh at that since he showed he didn't want it any way although he came in , that position and all knows it. I seen a few times the head coaches even when the participant won should have went and filed protest because of the biased judging, just so they are held accountable and for the sake of the other athletes that also may be judged in a dishonest fashion .

    Great move Ara Abrahamian, more should speak out against the unfair judging.

    Now where is the support for Dufur, and Tibet and the deception China has forced the world to accept on Taiwan with the stupid Chinese Taipei tital BS!!!!!!!!!!

    I do not see us putting down Koreans.. I do think it is many Koreans that have some sort of problem with Americans. It is too bad. I find many Koreans have an issue with pride or something, or maybe they think they feel themselves below Americans??? Wish something would change what is going on. I do not see protests here in the US about Korea.

    Sinn ... Russia is in a foreign country, what are you talking about? They are in a foreign country fighting the forces of that foreign country. What should have been done is kept Russia (Soviet Union) the locked out nation it was along with its communist friends. But as you want to put the US in focus rather than these invaders of Georgia seems you wish to direct focus off of reality and the facts of what Russia has done against another Democratic sovereign country where Russia invaded the borders. I just hope the western allies makes Russia pay for this! Already the rest of democracies are critical of Russia slowly slipping back to their past and this just goes along with that. Too bad Russia has lost all their prize possessions over the years .. meaning the Baltic states that they over ran to begin with to get.... Funny you try to ignore the very point you are criticizing,, All the lands US invaded and took out low life dictators seemed to have all went back to the people of those lands.. Take a look at history and the facts. As for the Indians, hmmm Americans took their lands??? Sounds to me you are talking about people from other lands comming to America and settling here and taking the lands from the native Indians. I believe that was before we were called Americans or the United states oaf America. The proccess was in place though and look what had formed since. :) And look at the people we have helped and saved from dictators such as the leaders of the past that controlled Russia, That is the type people the US has fought to bring down and to bring people out of suppression of that type leader. Fine to try and put the US down, but all one has to do, especially with Russia is look where they came from and now at the path they are taking back to that time of the past.

    I do not know what the leaders of China think they can get away with , but as they keep trying to deceive the world, they are only making China less and less credible. As for fake singers and little girls not pretty enough, to fake fireworks on news broadcasts to faking little Chinese children as being ethnic Tibetan children trying to show the harmony that the leaders wish for all to believe , again a fantasy they could only dream about.

This is about children here, not adults… Kids have always been referred to as being cute, beauty may be of the sole but as outward appearances, beautiful was not a judgment made to describe looks of a child as in outer features which we are talking about here with crooked teeth and not looking good enough to present some uplifting a song of national pride, now if we are describing a little girl put in a fancy dress, made up as an object to be admired , sure you could say she looks so beautiful, but Yang Peiyi dressed in beautiful clothes and makup also would be seen as beautiful as in presentation. But this is beauty as in material,a nd this is exactly what I see the leaders of China trying to put focus on, not the beauty of the people but the false beauty they are always trying to get everyone to believe in when at the root of all this is the deceptive ways of the government of China and it goes on and on and on

    But back to the point… Both girls have inter beauty, but on the outside they are both cute and not an object of ones affection. So if you wish to leave the cutness out, and concentrate on one being bueatiful and the other little girl as not being, I think you have a problem and put a beautiful dress on the one that is said not to have good looks!

    Blaze you have that all wrong. Nixon's opening if China is history and fact. Do not try putting some ridiculous spin on any of that documented history. US approached China and that is when the door was cracked and then opened and if you have not looked around you in the last 20 years, take notice of the trade and country of origin stamped on the majority of products, and not just here in the US but of all western nations that engaged in the active engagement policy the US has taken with CHina.. And give credit where credit is due when it comes to reforming China’s economic policies. As it was Zhoa Ziyan . you know the one that was kept under house arrest after Tiananmen Square Slaughter until he dies a couple years back.. For issues to be not relevant it sure seems to bring the anger out in a few and try to distort the facts as being irrelevant although it does give the frame work for the initial picture. If you have a lack of articles read, I think you need to broaden your scope a little, There are thousands of articles from government agencies, independent new agencies,and major news agencies that could be of good reading even if you do not agree with what is reported, one should keep an open mind because there are many things O have seen people in denial pass off as lies, and acuse another of bad grammer or spelling because they will not admit to the truth. but when the issue is of a repeating process it is hard to pass of the facts as to be fiction. I guess you would like to have the thousands of articles listed for you to read of deceptive tactics of the CCP as with this little instance here with the singer. But you know, I took many many hours over the years reading, understanding and listening to eye witnessed events in China that if you have not taken such time to indulge in the reports and topics on a daily basis you are wasting my time and your words are the words that are groundless.

    As for belittlement of the people. That is a no brainer to anyone that knows any of China’s history and events within China today such as for keeping them with out a voice, detaining them and putting them into political re-education programs is they do not see eye to eye with the Communist rule. No reports need to be mentioned on that issue, but you can deny that fact if you like, but no one will listen

    I do not care if you want to live in some fantasy or try to give China praise of such, just shows you are one of the subjects taken in by the CCP propaganda machine or part of it, or maybe not been out of China for very long and still believe in the deception that for many years, and still being taught in China. What ever the reason is for your twist on issues, that is exactly what it is a twist or denial of the facts. If it was not for Nixon and his ( I have always seen as stupid and ignorant) move on engagement with China, China would have stayed a closed society for many years after. Go get some history books and read them , not out of China I must add, but information in history books of the free world. It is a shame you and the Chinese government will not admit to how the world had broke open China from the isolation it kept its people in for so many years to be a participant in an international setting. What a pity especially for Chinese people trying to fit into the world community, where the CCP has made it so difficult still for the world to see their nation as a threat and of a country that can not be trusted

    All is relevant when it comes to the topic of China because all that has went on in China has brought China to the way it is today and how it is seen today and that is a country that no one can trust. How many articles do you need to understand that as fact??? You see them everyday such as this one..

    Seems there are some that want to blame the US for everything here, when this is about Russia imposing its force on a sovereignty country, in a sovereign country. And Russia has been doing so ever since Georgia has been a sovereign country. And by the way, the US needs to do what ever it has to do keep its security at check and the security of others. Take the blame game over to who is the catalyst, Russia in its continual plotting to cause havoc in Georgia. That is the fact.

    Just from reading that it puts in mind about Chetnia and Russia cracking down of separatists there.. Should foreign forces have moved into Russia and support and fought for the separatists in Chetnia. This is exactly what this situation consists of. Russia moving into a sovereign country supporting separatists of another country.

    This only supports a US build up of deterent against those that have interferred in other's affairs of sveriegn nations that are based on the people's wishes and wants. So that leaves Iraq out of the mix.
