I think television will stay for a few more decades. Nothing beats watching tv/movie on the sofa with beer and food--something you cannot do (lazily) on a computer.

Totally agree. It is the teachers that really influence a student's interest in the subject.

I think partly the taxi driver was greedy in the first place. He accepted to provide the service knowing the fact that the ride would potentially earn him buck loads.

I think it's a good thing that atrocities should be remembered and passed on to the next generations so grudges will never stop. This includes those committed at home too by own people.

You sure don't seem to see the logic here. If Japan shoots down the satellite it is only Japan who has everything to lose from this. Sure NK will inevitably suffer defeat but only after when we see a few Japanese cities flatten by nukes.
The USA is the most qualified candidate to do the shooting--simply because NK will take time to attack the USA mainland.

Japan just announced they will be the first to shoot down the satellite. As expected, Japan wants to borrow this reason to initiate a full scale war. Wonder if the US is prepared for this. Bush is linked to Iraq and Afghanistan, maybe Obama will go down history as the president who wiped out North Korea.

Japanese in general have always been inwards-looking due to the islander-psychology. "Foreigners" or "gaijin" have always been well defined in Japanese society.
