Bin Laden has been pretty irrelevant for years now. Still, a symbolic victory.

"Winners" and "losers" is pretty standard terminology for business reporting. It has nothing to do with "fanboyism." I wouldn't go near the silly ipad (though I do love my ipod), but anti-apple fanaticism isn't any more attractive than the Cult of Jobs (though perhaps slightly less creepy).

Oh, and the US 5th Fleet sitting in Bahrain's port is not providing arms to Bahrain & Saudi Arabia to CRUSH the Shia majority? I would have hoped that Japan Today would be more OBJECTIVE and shed light on these obvious similarities.

And your point is? Surely it can't be that the US doing the wrong thing in once case should be taken as justification for doing the wrong thing in another?

...and when Kan goes, who replaces him? More critically, how many months before the replacement resigns? Two? Three?

It really is important though as the GOP candidate will be the next President of the United States.

You are so confident of victory that you are willing to declare it before you've even selected a candidate?

I hopt the GOP is slightly more practical in its approach to the upcoming election.

Hurting Obama more than the Republicans IMO.

Not to be rude, but this realy does seem like wishful thinking. I mean, Trump isn't going to get many left wing/democratic voters. As an indepedent he's going to be skimming votes off the right (especially off a more moderate candidate like Romney). If he does turn out to have a significant impact on the outcome, it's going to be Ross Perot all over again.

Donald Trump wouldn't really run. Donald would drop out just before he has to open his financial books as required for candidates for the Office

This is my impression as well.

    Why is trump a joke?

Because he has absolutely no chance of winning? Because he'd make ridiculously bad president? Because he's a rather silly person that has been the butt of jokes for years? Because he's been spouting birther nonsense and disapproves of raising the debt-ceiling (essentially fiscal suicide for the US)? Because of his absurd comb-over?

There are litterally dozens of answers to that question.

Trump is a joke. If Trump runs (even as an independent), Obama wins.

I support Obama, but I want to see a serious candidate from the Republican party. The country deserves that much, and the two-party system needs it to function properly.

I'm just puzzled as to why you seem to think that what the Palestinian gov't in charge of Gaza does is totally irrelevant to the realities on the ground.

Triumvere you spun everything into complete silliness. It is quite possible that Hamas will one day lose out to the more violent and radical Salafi, just as Fatah lost out to the more violent and radical Hamas.

Cool story, bro. Only what it doesn't take into account is how much better Fatah is doing in the West Bank than Hamas is doing in Gaza.

As ye reap so shall ye sow. No, I'm not talking about poor Mr. Arrigoni, but rather Hamas, which has utilized and promoted violence and hatred in furtherance of its goals. Is it any surprise that such terrible instruments have grown out of their control?

Machine gun != fully automatic rifle

And of course it doesn't make a difference to the dead. But it might make a very big difference to the living who have to decide on how they want to restrict gun ownership.

The term machine gun was used by a witness and the media reported this.

...and? You expect the witness to understand the difference between an assault rifle and a machine gun? Then the media just picks that up an uses the term verbatum?
