OK. Now you can see that it is blown out of proportion. Private companies are caving in. They accepted all money from WikiLeaks or donations for WikiLeaks for how many years? Tell me that they didn't know what WikiLeaks was about. Hypocrites. He maybe did rape, coerced, forced or asked women to have sex with him but the whole "hunt" is a joke. Still, I believe Assange should face the Swedish court for the allegation but then continue to release information.

U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates, visiting with Afghan President Hamid Karzai and U.S. troops in Afghanistan, was pleased to hear that Assange had been arrested.

Of course! Luggage of cash, collateral deaths should remain a secret. BS...

The Plame leak was orchestrated by the government itself to discredit her husband. In the Cablegate, left and right call for Assange and the web site to be silenced. Manning will face a tough trial and deserve it for the leak. Everybody want to stop the leak but it will continue. Don't newspapers have the whole database already? Ron Paul (R) praise the leaks. This demonstrate that the leaks can serve some people's interests even on the right.

Usually when I ride a taxi, I can't see my hands to use my laptop or anything else. I'd rather like to have waterproof bags instead of WiFi...

TimRussert: Maybe you would like to tell us what you think Iran or China does to your hero Assange if he ever transits through Shanghai, or say, Hezbollah-controlled Beirut? Seen Putin's comments on the matter? Russia's president-for-life is not too happy that Wikileaks told the world he was probably informed beforehand that certain journalists and certain rivals of his were to be assassinated.

WOW! I'd like to have the same spinning ability. "What if" doesn't go anywhere. If he was Chinese or Russian and put in prison, you'll have the west asking for his release and people chanting how free we are on this forum.

TimRussert: You have access to Wikileak docs exposing the militant Muslim groups slaughtering their own in those 2 places like animals?

It's all over the press. Nothing is denied so why should it be found on WikiLeaks? Do you even understand the purpose of WikiLeaks?

Sarah Palin likened Assange to an al-Qaida propagandist and accused him, without offering any proof, of having “blood on his hands.”

“Why was he not pursued with the same urgency we pursue al-Qaida and Taliban leaders?” she asked in a message posted to her Facebook page.

As O'Reilly would say: "Just sh*t up!"

Even if Assange have to be "liquidated", I hope his network will continue the work.

Nothing abnormal here, it's the "global cooling". Take it Al Gore! (flying in your private jet) Since we do not really understand how our climate works and if human activities have/had any impact, we should just continue business as usual. People want cheap products!

Most of the dead were Prison Service guards racing through the fire toward a prison to evacuate the inmates, most of them Palestinians.

    The guards are heroes. RIP.

The "Bush/Reps created the problem" rant will be hard to maintain after 2 years Obama is in office. Wow... Obama "socialism" isn't even working. What could? Bail out the plebs, not the banks.

Now what does the TSA conclude from that? Yes, you guessed it: Religion has nothing to do with it! Profiling is wrong! Everybody needs to be groped!

Will they finally introduce the "spit on the Koran" or "draw a Mohammed cartoon" measures before boarding a plane? Do you plan something different?

Europe failed her supervision of the banking system. Europe failed her supervision of her members. Countries like Greece lied about about her financial status. Is the currency the problem? No. All this mess is the government responsabilities. Nobody wanted any supervision and low regulations.

NambanOnigiri: As for the comment above about anglo-saxons wanting the Euro to fail, can you enlighten me with your pearls of wisdom on this. BS.

"your pearls of wisdom" directly the big words :-)

UK has been euroseptic from the beginning because of her particular financial position. About the US, Europe has failed in the short term of being a or the world economic engine in place of the US. The problem we see now is, I hope, because Europe is still in young and countries like the PIGS should be disciplined on fiscal level to be responsible. While Europe has a foot in the tomb, vultures are already waiting for the investment opportunities after a massive stock value devaluation following the death of the euro.

WilliB: That is when the crunch comes and the Euro scheme will have to be dissolved. And good riddance.

    Why good riddance?

Only Anglo-Saxons and US alike don't want it to work and will do everything they can to make it fail.

The European Union is a good idea and a unified currency also.
