Do you know anything about the military? You don't necessarily walk around anywhere and everywhere on base with weaponry. This is not a question of the marksmanship standards of the soldiers; the question is whether they had weapons at all with which to defend themselves.

This is only the first step in correcting the horrors of the previous administration. How wonderful it is to see Americans taking back our country from the brink of Republican-led destruction. And that's only in the first year, gang; just imagine how much America is going to improve under seven more years of President of the United States of America Barack Hussein Obama!
God continue to bless America!

Um, they kinda do already; it's called military health care. Never been a problem.

Read the bill, "Sarge". God bless you!

I'm so lucky to see this wonderful, historic day; I thank God Almighty for the incredible blessing He has bestowed upon America this great day, especially upon our children!
It would be easy to gloat, to laugh outright at the Repubs with their "town hall meetings", their angry little red faces, their creaking, geriatric fists ineffectually swinging, to ridicule even more than usual the mewlings of "Sarge", the "not on my watch" idiocy of Badsey, the irrational hatred of the RomeoRamen's and WhiteHawks, but not today... not this wonderful, blessed day in which Americans have taken our country back from the precipice of Republican hatred, racism, and fear.
Today, we celebrate the rebirth of America, the rebirth of democracy, the rebirth of compassion, the rebirth of patriotism, and the defeat of conservative hatemongering. As proud as I am to serve the USA, and to have helped America survive the dark ages of President Obama's predecessor, I have never been prouder of my country than I am today.
Most gracious Heavenly Jesus, Americans tonight unite as one to give you the praise and glory for this wonderful day! God bless America!

There is just no excuse either, Taka, for the neo-Nazi right-wing opposition to ensuring all Americans receive proper health care. I just thank Christ they are more like you and me than there are of them.

"Sarge"-
But you're not a U.S. or NATO serviceman or servicewoman; WE are, and we fully appreciate President Obama for not rushing into a decision the way his disgraceful predecessor did.

The tragic answer is, none of them. Neither President Obama's decisions nor the timeframe in which he makes them could prevent either helicopter accidents or inhuman extremist scum from committing atrocities.
Patience, Grasssmoker, patience... Wouldn't wanna play into the enemy's hands like bush the Impotent "Cowboy", now would we?

Of course not, cream puff! Once the C-in-C has made a decision based on all the information, he'll let you know. Well, he'll let US know; you can read about it on the news.

Hey "Sarge - Because he doesn't blindly jump into decisions. We who actually serve the US appreciate that mindset as opposed to the lethal policies of his predecessor. That's kinda why we helped elect him.
Tell me, "Sarge", how many generals has President of the United States Barack Hussein Obama fired for saying what they believed?
Exactly, exactly. Don't you worry your pretty li'l head, "Sarge"; we're ready to protect you now and we will be when the Commander-in-Chief gives the order regarding Afghanistan.

sarge:
Nope, it's a dream come true for America. This is why so overwhelmingly many Americans, particularly those of us who actually serve in the US military, elected Barack Hussein Obama President of the United States of America. President Obama's predecessor had eight years to bring America to the brink of death; President Obama will have eight years to bring us back to prosperity.
God continue to bless America!

WhiteHawk: Again, I say ROTFLMAO! Spin, spin, spin to your heart's content, but the majority of American voters elected Barack Obama President of the United States. When the President calls for bipartisan work, Congressional members, whether Republican or American, should do their utmost to comply. If there is dissent, fine, but the Republicans should at least entertain the idea of actually providing what the President requests. Otherwise, the Republicans end up an impotent sub-party out of touch with American values and desires, screaming futilely against their own countrymen... oh wait a sec, that's what the Repubs are now!
Moderator: Stay on topic please.

Taka, Couldn't agree more, but then the republicans have invalidated themselves by their constant knee-jerk rejection of anything and everything President Obama and the Democrats suggest. So let them continue doing so; the only ones they're "knocking out" are themselves.
But, at least the republicans' intransigence will help ensure Democratic (i.e. American) control of both the White House and Congress after the '10 and '12 elections.

ROTFLMAO! Is that the best you two can do?! "Obama's not King"? Of course he isn't; he's the President of the United States of America, duly and fairly elected by the majority of the American people, not merely some of us.
...and USAFdude delivers the KO to both WhiteHawk and techall in a single punch.

Proper translation: Republicans need to get with the program and acknowledge that health-care reform, particularly a public option, is one of the main reasons America elected Barack Hussein Obama President of the United States.

Here's an idea: Instead of bashing Obama (yet again), why not bash the Nobel Committee? They made the decision; hold THEM to task for it.
Nah, let's just take another lame swipe at the duly-elected President of the United States of America.

Lunchmeat:
Nope, President Obama was elected by the American people. It's called democracy, and it's one of the things the Nobel Peace Prize selection committee looks for in selecting its award recipients.
