No, CAPT Dykhoff will never again command a ship. More importantly he will never be promoted to flag rank. To be selected to become a Rear Admiral an aviator like CAPT Dykhoff has to have successfully completed an XO tour of a carrier, CO of some other large ship,…

Ah, so I guess the Japanese spend even one of the other 363 days feeling responsible for the rest of the war and reflecting on the attrocities their country's military committed in the name of the emperor? I personally look forward to the day when the last hibakusha has…

Like clockwork this Goto fool opens his trap. The only issue he (and any other Japanese citizen) should have is with the Government of Japan and the Defense Ministry and why it took them over two weeks to go public with this information after they were notified by the US…

In fact, the silliness of scrubbing away radiation is part of the foolish way in which we thought of nuclear weapons back then.

Actually, we absolutely still do this. We scrub down contaminated people and equipment with brushes using soap and chemical mixtures; its one of the first and…

What the hell is 'common water'? So you don't consider seawater water despite the fact that we desalinate it and drink all the time? If it's one hydrogen atom with two oxygen atoms then its water no matter what it may be mixed/combined with. If it exists there we…

According to the TV news coveraga, the police had received several complaints recently regarding someone ambushing women and sexually harrassing/assaulting them chikan-style in the area in question. The cops were keeping an eye on the location and caught this kid red-handed. No, this was not playful games between friends,…

Holy crap. Same culture? You may have a hard time convincing the enhabitants of Tsuhima and Okishima as none of them speak Korean, but you may find a few Gyeoul Yeonga fans if you consider that culture. And same genes? Are you kidding me? You can say the same…

Now, it's time to talk about Tsushima and Oki Islands which originally belongs to Korea.

Evidently this idiocy knows no limits. Tsushima and Oki Islands? Are you on crack? So tell me, what's the Korean names for Tsushima and Okishima?

Either way I agree on lack of discipline.

That's why the Executive Officer was also relieved. The ship's CO is ultimately responsible for anything that occurs on his ship and so is normally disciplined in cases like these but the crew's discipline is the XO's responsibility.
