VOR george bush put troops into Iraq, not Barack Obama.

George Bush and the United States Congress put the troops in Iraq.

Barrack Obama is now the commander in chief. When Barack Obama showed up in congress just four years ago and then shortly therafter when he started his presidential campaign, he was adamant about pulling the troops out of Iraq. If he meant reducing the number of troops in Iraq, he should have said it that way. He clearly lied. Why are you making excuses for these lies? Or if you don't see them as lies, why don't you recognize them as such and when are you going to snap out of it?

WHAT? So, now you're claiming Saddam Hussein started the war?

sushi, you are operating from a position of ignorance. The United States went to war with the overwhelming majority of congress and with the full authority of UN resolutions. I now know why you are confused, the Democrats ran like chickens when things were going badly and blamed it all on George Bush. You fell for it.

man oh man you guys are so avoiding the reality that Obama lied to you. When he told the world; more importantly the American people, the first thing he would do as president is pull the troops out of Iraq. People that didn't know any better, took him at his word. Why are you making excuses for the guy?

Obama's lies as you call them haven't gotten anybody killed. He never started the war in Iraq. He didn't lie to take troops into Iraq. He didn't do a single thing to get troops killed or put in harms way. No matter what you think, these are george bush's wars.

Do I need to remind you that Barrack Obama is the current president of the united states and commander in chief of the united states armed forces. he is the one making the decisions now and responsibility rests with the decision maker. i'm not finding fault with the decisions he's making, i am simply pointing out that the guy lied about pulling the troops out of Iraq.

VOR - "it doesn't appear the most ardent members of his cult" You just directly insulted the majority of Americans with one ill-thought out statement. :-)

the cult is made up of people that think Obama is capable of only telling the truth and are more than willing to go along with any of his ill conceived schemes. i hardly think the majority of Americans fall into this category.

Do you want these wars over with? < :-)

Most certainly. I am anti war and I believe we can remove ourselves from the problems of the middle east as soon as our economy is no longer dependent on their oil.

no daydream, we want Obama to tell the truth which he appears incapable of. maybe thats okay with his cult but its not okay with everyone else. Obama lies and people die.

Get the troops out of Iraq. Do the job in Afghanistan and bring our troops home. < :-)

Don't tell Sarge, tell Obama who told the American public he would pull out of Iraq but now plans on leaving 50,000 troops in Iraq after 2010.

Its comical seeing the chattering class who disagreed with everything Bush did supporting Obama carrying out Bush strategy. I know it must be really difficult for those that want to believe that Obama is something more than your typical lying politician, but c'mon fellas, Obama ran as the anti war candidate and he is not keeping his word to you guys and to the American people. Eventually Obama's lies will catch up to him but it doesn't appear the most ardent members of his cult will snap out of it any time soon, so rest assurred, I will be here pointing to people who stop by JT that Obama lied about pulling out of Iraq. BTW, anybody know how many troops have been killed in Iraq since Obama took office? Its funny how that's not important anymore. Less than two years to the mid term election.

I hope no one is really getting too excited; the first troop withdrawals do not occur for another six months. A complete pull out is not even on the table. Obama is planning to leave 50,000 troops in country after 2010 so this report has more to do with making it seem like Obama is keeping his word when in fact he isn't doing anything different then George Bush. I'm actually glad he turned his back on his promises to his left wing supporters and acting responsibly.

He voted against the surge at a time when he was shopping his cut and run strategy with the left wing arm of the Democratic party. Now that he is the president, to the dismay of Code Pink and other fringe groups, he can't afford to be so reckless. Good on him for following George Bush's game plan despite voting against it.

Its good to see Obama making a sharp about-face and listening to George Bush's Generals. He arrogantly went against the advice of these Generals voting against the surge when he was out there on the campaign trail kowtowing the votes of the extreme left.

whatever likeitis, i agree with the moderator on this one, the conversation headed south the moment the defamation began and was appropriately zapped so there is no sense in continuing with the foolishness.

I don't think that is what Obama meant though.

who knows what Obama means. he says a lot of things and does the exact opposite so you are not alone.

Many people, that bemoan Obama's leadership, will have egg on their faces sooner than one realizes.

anshin, since your statement lacks any support i would have to assume you don't have any to offer and your confidence is based purely on faith. Obama has that effect on the party faithful. History is full of cult worship, unfortunately, it never ends very well.

It's hard to put money into funds when you can't pay the rent or pay the bills because the job you had was dependent on the job that went overseas. < :-)

there was a time when I had no skills, no money and few prospects but that didn't prevent me from getting an education, developing a set of skills and living within my means. I was able to achieve a respectable level of success on my own without relying on the government or my fellow taxpayer for help.

If your job goes overseas its not the end of the world unless of course you believe the old Democratic mantra of victim-hood.

why do you whine and moan so much?

who is whining and moaning? i as a US taxpayer, have serious disagreement with the democrats spending money like drunken sailors in order to pay off their political supporters and using my tax dollars to buy future votes. If you want to equate descent with whining and moaning, you do so at your own peril.

It matter little to me who is in power. I learned a long time ago, its never the end of the world whoever controls Washington. Both parties suck, the Democrats in my opinion are more incompetent and deceitful than Republicans, but that doesn't stop me from making the decisions i have to make to secure my and my families future.

Thanks for the financial advice but I'm doing fine without it. I've been moving between gold and cash for a little over two years now and recently bought a beautiful home in Las Vegas for next to nothing. I consider myself fortunate for recognizing when the media begins talking down the economy on the behest of its chosen candidate, its time to get out of stocks. Already started directing assets elsewhere to avoid Obama tax increases. In that light, I agree with Obama, there is opportunity in crisis. I am making out like a bandit.

"What I don’t think people should do is suddenly stuff money in their mattresses and pull back completely from spending,” Obama

When a politician says not to stuff money in their mattresses, that is exactly what people should do. If they are smart, they put as much of it into funds which will protect them from the next set of problems resulting from Obamanomics, hyperinflation.
