The donks loaded up all their social spending in something called stimulus in order to avoid the normal legislative process for next years budget. Perhaps this was really a slight of hand in an attempt to fit in payoff to their political supporters without having to put it into next years budget. Anyway, Mike Steele is onto them and Democrats have giving the Republicans the ability to rise from the ashes. Good going Obuma.

what is this holding up legislation garbage? the democrats are about to spend nearly 1 trillion dollars of money we don't have and they want to sneak whatever they wrote into it behind closed doors to the President. In a rush to do something, Obama and his cast of tax cheating disciples have pretty much grabbed any bucket from the garage and have thrown it onto the fire not knowing if it contains gasoline or water.
As details come out and the effects are known, this will go down as one of the biggest follies in American history. The economy has just become Obama's Iraq. Just in time for the mid term elections.

i don't think obama can post it because the democrats are still behind closed doors writing the final package. once it is done they want an immediate vote. how the hell is anybody going to be able to vote on the final bill when no one besides democrats really know what is in it. is this the transparency Obama promised America? Is this the bipartisan spirit in which he cajoled the American people in to voting for him? What we got here are a bunch of flim flam artists fleecing American taxpayers. Time magazine lost all and any credibility years ago. Of course a left wing rag is going to put its liberal spin on things.
Whats funny is after all these years, economist still argue about what caused the great depression and what ended it. There is near universal agreement on what prolonged it. Its rather suspicious that Time magazine was able to lay blame on anyone's feet without really understanding all the variables leading to the D'rats spending a trillion on pork.

Yes America wanted change but they are not getting it. Obama and the D'rats are being just as fiscally irresponsible as the last administration and congress.
I didn't vote for McCain but sort of wish I had. I don't think we would have seen this much pork in his stimulis package and there would have been a showdown between him and the big spenders in congress and finally a new change in direction.
The majority of the people want to be led by people who do not constantly lie to them. They want fiscally responsible people who put their country ahead of their own political power. Thats what they thought they were getting, but the shine has already started to come off. tick tock. mid term elections are less than two years away.

I am saying the media is dishonest and there are a lot of Americans who form ignorant points of view and false sense of hope from that constant stream of leftist dishonesty.
GWB attempts at fixing Fannie and Freddie were rebuffed by the Democrats.
Both political parties have let the American people down. Which one rises to the occasion is what matters most. Democrats are showing they are not the party of change giving the Republicans a chance to rise from the ashes.

yabits, no one is expecting a miracle from Obama. Americans are expecting its government to be fiscally responsible. They voted in Obama thinking he would put America first but he has just proven he is no different than any other politician. When he signs his name to this legislation the economy becomes his. What George Bush did or didn't will only matter to the left wing fringe of the democratic party. Good Jorb, I am not opposed to the Federal Government taking proper steps to make the adjustments necessary to prevent a total collapse of the free market system. There are some instances where intervention is necessary.
TARP was supposed to buy troubled assets and instead 350b was used as capital injections which was wrong and proven to be a waste.
The government was obligated to prop up the financial institutions after years of supporting bad lending by Freddie Mae and Fannie Mac (Quasi governmental institutions invented and protected by the democrats).
Obama had a chance to talk the talk and walk the walk with this stimulus package but failed miserably. Instead of getting stimulus we got pork, lots of it, greasy fatty Democratic sponsored pork.
Maybe we'll get a little kick, but then the bottom is going to fall out. Just in time for the mid term elections. The Democrats just snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory to America and the world's economic peril.

The Congressional Budget Office and most of the nation's top economist agree with that line of thinking Molenir. Only the rabid anti Bush crowd can't see through the lies and their own hysteria.
