Letterman is a political hack masquerading as a comedian at the end of a career that went south years ago. The heir apparent to Johnny Carson will forever be remembered as the creepy dude who told a joke involving statutory rape of Sarah Palin's 14 year old daughter.
He had no choice but to apologize for being the ignorant fool so many liberals end up becoming after so many years of prescribing to liberal think.
So many libs want this to disappear because they know it exposes the mediasdouble standard of attacking Republicans and their families while leaving Democrats and theirs alone. Good on the Palins for forcing Letterman into an apology.

There are two reasons:
The rank and file hates her because she is a Republican and thats makes her evil in the tiny minds of your typical leftist.
The Democratic leadership (if you can call it that) and lapdog media are working overtime to destroy her personally in order to prevent her from running on the national ticket a few years from now.

thanks taka but have gotten lazy with punctuation after so many years programming in c++ and writing unix scripts.
anybody know what Obama is doing to curtail oil prices? I remember you all beating George Bush up pretty hard when the oil speculators drove up the price the last time. that was really what put the world economy in a tailspin. its possible it will shoot up over $200 a barrel. no hope for a recovery if it goes up much further.

Sushi - The deficit would never had exploded had bush and co. actually done their jobs and governed America for Americans instead of for Iraqis, big oil and the U.S. Rich List.
you may want to check how entitlement spending factors into the equation. can't pin that entirely on Bush and co. Its becoming clearer to the American people that Obama's running up the debt (did I mention 4 times the size of last years record deficit) was purely political. It is and will not stimulate the economy is any real sustainable way and if he doesn't at least get a bump by the fall of 2010, its curtains for this Democratic sideshow.
