VOR's past comments

The posts by daydream and yabits are so typical of people caught up in the Obama fog. Anybody who doesn't look at what their government officials say or do with jaundiced eyes are living in their own partisan la la land.

Time will tell if the current administration has made the nation safer or not but if the past is any indicator of the future, appeasement is not the answer.

Political correctness destroyed the US intelligence network during the 90's leaving the US vulnerable to the 911 attacks. If this administration fails to learn from these mistakes, the American people, with the exception of the most ardent partisans will hold Obama and his political appointees responsible.

Political appointees are political appointees. They will say anything their bosses desire. While I agree no administration can guarantee 100% security, its only a matter of opinion to say we are safer or less safer under Obama. Even if an attack on US soil were to occur, the current administration can only be judged on how vigilant they were to prevent it and what effect if any, the dismantling of security measures undertaken by the previous administration contributed to any new attacks.

Last time I checked, seals were somewhere between mullet and polar bears on the food chain. What is all the commotion about? Seals were put on this planet to be eaten and worn. Its not like the Inuits can walk into a Schlotzskys when they are hungry. More outrage from a misguided few.

Every time Obama and the Democrats fail to walk the walk, they and their supporters seem to think blaming George W. Bush makes it all better. What a bunch of self important phonies.

Liberals will do back flips to shuck responsibility for their part in going to war or the role they have played over the years in destroying the national economy. You have to be a real dimwit to believe everything the Republicans did was evil and everything the Democrats did was good. Both parties deserve equal blame and calling this George Bush's war is just more of the same idiocy that has landed the US is so much trouble.

Bush did not have dictatorial powers as the left would have you believe. The Republicans never had the numbers in congress to do what they wanted to do without getting Democratic support during Bush's entire presidency. Democrats contolled one house of congress then both during the last four years of Bush so only an uneducated idiot would believe the Democrats had no responsibility what so ever in the policies that shaped the nation of the last 8 years. Only an idiot can blame one party and not both for the current problems facing our country.

The inconvenient truth for the left is the fact that Iraq War won unanimous support in both the House and the Senate by an overwhelming majority of Democrats and Republicans. Withdrawing their support while our troops were fighting and dying in the streets of Iraq was an act of cowardliness not seen since the French surrendered to the Germans during the onset of WWII. Its understandable they have made an all out effort to make it appear that it is George Bush's war to distance themselves from their own responsibility for getting us into quagmire. What worries me now is how quickly the conditions in Iraq are falling apart after our wet behind the ears commander in chief announced the troop pull outs. Yup, now this is starting to look like Obama's Vietnam.

thanks for making the problems in the middle east so simple Neil. Who would have ever thought the neo cons were the root of all evil?

It's only a matter of time before the Obama adoring media are forced to report on the deteriorating conditions inside Iraq although they will likely deflect any criticism on the current administrations bungling of the war or look into how Obama's announced pullout dates has led to the resurgence of bombings and executions.

If the meaning still isn't so clear, I'll restate my position right now. Those that call either the Iraq or Afghanistan wars Bush's wars ignore the fact that both wars were unanimously approved by both political parties using the same intelligence and evidence collected during the Clinton administration and from America's allies. If the Democrats thought going into Iraq or Afghanistan were a bad idea or the evidence for war not convincing enough they should have voted against one or both endeavors undermining the war effort for political expediency.

Lest we forget, VOR actually came on here a couple of months ago and literally said GWB didn't start the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, but that Obama did.

okay smith put up or shut up.

According to the left, Bush didn't do enough to protect America from 911 and did too much to protect America from post 911 attacks. Good on Cheney for finding a way to get the truth to the American public so that the birdbrains currently in power are held accountable when that dirty bomb hits one or more of our cities.

As we finally start to learn the truth about water boarding, we come to find out that it was only used on three of the highest echelon AQ terrorist held at GITMO for the intent purpose of preventing any further attacks after 911. The phony moralists on the left (yeah you know who you are) intentionally distort the truth by trying to make it appear that these enhanced interrogation techniques were wide spread. Cheney with the truth on his side will dismantle the left's house of cards.

facts are facts, bombings were down all over the country until Obama stupidly announced America's pullout dates. All the terrorists have to do now is continue these type attacks until America pulls out to claim victory.

not surprised, we now have a commander in chief that didn't even have enough experience to lead a boy scout troop. how can we expect him to lead the world's most powerful military?
