Its getting really bad in Iraq again after 18 months of steady progress. Nice move Obama for announcing a withdrawal date. You've messed up any chance for Iraqis to live in a Democracy.

A good punishment for rogue soldiers, especially this one is to trade his ass to AQ the next time they take a hostage. They can do what they want with him, even video tape it and put it on Youtube. The minute this guy quits breathing the same air as the rest of the human population, is not a minute too son.

yabits, do i have to remind you that political correctness pervaded everything the government did prior to 911. There was very little the intelligence community or law enforcement could do in that politically correct state to prevent the 911 attacks. We are slipping back into that pre 911 politically correct group think mushpit that unfortunately once again is being forced upon us by the goofballs on the left. We will just have to see where the Democrats take us and deal with the consequences of it when god forbid we have to relive another day like 911.

The proof is in the pudding yabits. When George Bush came into office his intelligence arm was in complete disarray after 8 years of Clinton. Restrictions put into place prevented one agency from sharing intelligence with the other. Political attacks and under-funding of the intelligence community contributed to low moral and loss of seasoned professionals. George Bush rebuilt the intelligence community from the ground up which is credited for preventing any further attacks on American soil. Obama is wise to take a second look at the policy changes that were implemented by George Bush before he goes out and changes any of them simply because the pansies on the left are uncomfortable with some of the techniques used to extract the very information that has led to the arrests of terrorist and prevented any further attacks against private citizens going about their lives across America. If such attacks do occur, how culpable Obama will be largely depends on what he did and didn't do to prevent it. Last I heard, George Bush was enjoying his retirement down in Texas. Can't see anyone blaming him other than the yahoo loudmouths on the left.

Obama knew he was painting himself into a corner with his campaign promises; particularly the pipe dream of the ignant left to close GITMO, He knew it was a bad idea as he was placating the blame America first crowd and even made a show of it in the opening days of his administration knowing full well he couldn't release this assortment of enemy combatants and sworn terrorists into the wild without culpability. Anyone that knows how this world operates is resigned to the fact that the next Islamic attack is on its way. While it may be easy to blame the previous administration on everything known under the sun, it will not be so easy to blame Bush and Co. on any new attack on American soil, so while it disappoints his mindless supporters, Obama is actually being quite shrewd.

While the current crop of politicians in power are robbing the country blind and playing politics with national security there are still some who prefer to blame Bush and Cheney for everything when in reality, Obama, Pelosi and the rest of them are what they claim to despise.

Pelosi has just opened up the Pandora's box that the Obama administration and the lapdog media didn't want to happen. Now the media is going to have to start acting like the media again and report what is really happening in the halls of government--if they are still capable of doing so. As the second most powerful person in Washington, the American people have the right to know what Pelosi knew and when she knew it. This really has the appearance of one political party abusing the power entrusted to them by the American people.
If the Dummycrats were smart, they would convince Pelosi to either come clean or step down. The weakening of American continues.

back on topic, the nation is now faced with a Speaker of the House that cannot tell truth. the democrats overshot and ensared one of their own, the second most powerful Democrat. Pelosi's antics will force the media to start paying attention and maybe provide America the service they are supposed to provide, playing watchdog over a government with unlimited power. Obushma must be overjoyed.

time for the Democrats to select a competent Speaker anyway. Nancy Pelosi is proving to be the biggest birdbrain in the House ever.

Prime example of government ineptitude. Why in gods green earth does anyone want the government to take over more control of our lives?
The fleecing of America not only continues, its getting worse.

Putting him in Stadleheim prison while he awaits trial is a very interesting turn of events. Stadleheim is the same prison where some members of the White Rose--the only real NAZI resistence movement, were incarcerated, tortured and killed.
I lived down the street from it in the early 90's. It was a horrible looking place. If this guy is guilty, it is only fitting he serves out the remainder of his life in that hellhole.

Obama knows credit. He is responsible for increasing US red ink to its highest levels ever; $1.8 trillion, 4 times what Bush was able to manage; 46 cents borrowed for every dollar spent. Of course he is going to sympathize with the deadbeats, Obama is their debtor in chief.

As usual Powell is talking out his butt. It turns out he wasn't much of an officer, stunk as a secretary of state and not doing so well on preserving his legacy. Colin Powell is your typical by-product of affirmative action. I'd be more interested what a real general like Norm Schwarzkoff has to say.

He let the kids out to park the car, not so unusual. Maybe mom was with them, maybe not. If mom was there, then what the hell was she thinking? If dad was alone, what the hell was he thinking? Whatever happened, it was because a parent messed up big time. I sure hope the sorry sap doesn't try to blame it on the 6 year old.

Obama just needs to go over there and kiss up to them like he is doing everywhere else. Lets see where this new form of American diplomacy gets us.
