I did feel the quake here in Tokyo right after watching the warning on Television (It's rare that you see the warning first). They posted 3 more notices for smaller after shocks very late in the evening, but I didn't feel the smaller ones. It was a busy night of quakes in central Japan.

It's amazing the number of kids who survive these long falls from apartment buildings in Japan. Not all of them make it, but it's always good to hear some happy endings to these unfortunate accidents.

Actually this was rather impressive to me on the news. The photo didn't show the other runners in the race. He blew them off the track.

When I saw it on the news, it was the first time I ever noticed riot police carrying powerful metal cutters/chain saws. What kind of confusion requires that kind of equipment?

It's probably caused by the mixture of the gasoline and the methane gas that's currently down in the sewer line. One lit cigarette can make a nasty mess.

It's interesting that they never shut down the Harajuku Station. The OUTDOOR platform is adjacent to the Meiji Shrine and Yoyogi Park.

They show plenty of footage on the news, and conditions have changed dramatically since the typhoon and heavy rains. It's really terrible up there now. Snow has fallen and the ground covered with ash is almost totally frozen. If you have the chance to watch the workers on television, you will notice that most of them can't even use their shovels to break up the ash. It's pointless to continue at this time.

I have a better solution. NHK can send a representative to each hotel room every evening to collect the fee. That would be very entertaining, especially dealing with those tired travelers.

I got some great shots, even though those lingering clouds had me a little worried. It was funny that some people walked by with no clue about the moon until they saw me looking me up.
