After watching that video presentation last year, I actually want to buy one in the future.

I think the commander had no choice but to impose a new restriction on this tragedy. Since it was televised all over Japan that the civilian worker was a former Marine, it's obvious in the eyes of the Okinawan citizens that this guy is still considered military. At least they can still drink on base, and he didn't make them go totally dry for several weeks.

That gentleman was the translator, and not a Secret Service Agent . It's the reason why he was close. I watched it LIVE, and it was a very king gesture. I bet Mr. Shigeaki Mori would never figure he would have an opportunity to hug a POTUS in his lifetime. He had the biggest smile on his face, and he looked very honored.

Kudos to the guy who rescued the woman, and I assume the attacker will be officially unemployed after this incident..

They definitely hit the Seven Bank ATMs because they are the only reliable machines for foreigners outside the country to get withdrawals. If you are a visitor, you can't use the normal Japanese banking machines. Your credit card will not work in their standard ATMs.

I just saw this on the news, and the facility looks like a very small venue and a gruesome crime scene. There had to be witnesses there, and I wondered what they did while he was repeatedly stabbed her. Seems like nothing much at all.

I am not sure what the Marine General can say to the Okinawa Governor this time. He certainly can't use another copy and paste apology to show regret, because he just did one a couple months ago, and this unfortunate incident involves a loss of life.

There's a lot of American workers on these military bases. Family members and retired servicemen do work there as civilians.

She left her car and wallet at home to go for a walk, but she had her cellphone. So I guess he's the only one living that area to become a suspect.

I'm glad someone decided to move up the Deadpool film to June instead of August. I would have been strange to have both X-Men films in the theater at the same time.

This was one of the rare times that I received a warning on TV before we got the big shake. It was a hard bang since the epicenter was so close to Tokyo area.

I guess some people don't know the difference between a conductor and the driver/engineer.

They ran a rather long and complex segment yesterday on Nippon News, and it probably lasted between 20 and 30 minutes. It's not listed here, but they arrested 3 Japanese and the woman was Filipino.

It's a great park to visit. At times I enjoy a meal on a bench next to the pond. Nice and quiet there in the middle of the city.

It's rare to see footage of train jumpers on the local news such as this tragic event. Not only the train conductor is traumatized, there is a huge crew there to hold up the tarps, take survey, and process a clean up. It's a big task force, and it's sad for everyone involved.

This logo is so ugly that nobody will ever claim copyright infringement. Oh well, at least they save money on color ink. I was pulling for Selection B first, and Selection D second.
