At the age of 29, Hakuho level of Sumo is far above all of the competition at this time. He doesn't even a rival who can be a consistent threat inside arena. He just have too many weapons and techniques of beating them all. It's very possible that he can get at least 40 Championships within the next few years.
But there is good news for Japanese fans, there is a new Japanese hopeful and his name is Endo (but just only hope at this time). Even though Endo's arrival has given Sumo a shot of popularity again, he is still very young and needs to gain more weight and power to get up to the consistent high level of fighting.
Now here is some bad news for Japanese fans, there is a new Mongolian wrestler named Ichinojo. He is the largest competitor in arena, and last year this young kid nearly won the tournament is his very first competition. It came down to the last match of the tournament between him and Hakuho. He would have been the first wrestler to win a tournament in his attempt in over a 100 years.
For those who want to watch Sumo LIVE in Japan, it has just begun a little more difficult to attend in Tokyo. The last tournament in Tokyo was sold out for all 15 days (even the Emperor made an appearance). You will have a better opportunity to see them fight in Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka.

Yes we all know how these rock bands truly retire when they are still in high demand. How long many years have KISS been on their farewell tour?

A little off subject about clean toilets in Japan. Have any of you guys experience a cleaning lady waiting directly behind you at a train station urinal? It happened to me a few times, and it feels awkward when you are the only person there trying to finish as fast as possible, while she is standing there waiting to clean up.

One of my neighbors in Tokyo have something similar to that at his home. He has a 3 three story house (not a building), and on the the top floor I can see there is a door without a landing. I am quite sure if you step out, you will fall straight down on top of his property fence.

I guess I should have been a little more specific. I was meant when did Sex Slavery become a subject in "US schools". This publisher is now putting this in US text books, and the article is not about Japanese History books. I am wondering what age of the students in the US who are talking about this subject, because it seems a little inappropriate to teach to young school kids. It certainly wasn't discussed when I was in school years ago.

When did this ever become a subject in History text books? I am curious to know what grade level that they are teaching kids about the sex slavery during World War II.

The title of this article reminds me of a Japanese Show I watched last month. There was a chef in Africa who put cold spaghetti pasta on a plate and added soy sauce on top. He called it Japanese Ramen. I wanted to push my chair over backwards like an anime cartoon when I saw that.

It amazes me the number of kids who survive the falls from high rise apartments. Not all of them make it, but I am glad to hear some happy endings.

They actually have a commercial for Star Wars in Japan. I saw it yesterday, and it's going to be released in theaters the same time as US on Dec. 18th. Glad they won't make us wait to receive early spoilers.
