The reason is ...if China wants to play in the worlds sand box, they have to play by the world's rules... if not go back to the glorious closed society days....

"Japanese power plants are not relevant to this discussion."

Why do those rules not apply when the discussion/article is about Japanese power Plants and everyone post remarks about US Nuclear powered vessels. Just asking

Yea, Yea... Anomaly. I am sure you are confused since the pole-ACROBATS you speak of do not wear 5inch heels on stage. No what you are looking at is pure unadultorated, American born stripper pole showcase dancing. And they are doing this for fitness and self esteem. Of course women want the excitment of showing off their sexy bods without the stripper (slut) label. I say go girls..

While Bush meets with his cabinet to decide what to do next. A call goes out to the Israel. " You have reached the Israeli Air Force hotline all staff is out of the office at the moment, please leave your name and number at the beep"......Ref: 1985 Iraqs Nuke reactor goes bye bye after a surprise Israeli attack.

I never was for the invasion of Iraq in the first place, it distracted the US from what it's primary mission of root out Bin Laden in Afghanistan and Pakistan. But its Lib-Dems like you who ignore the fact that Congress and most of the western worlds intelligence agencies agreed with the whole WMD thing. Your precious Dems in Congress read the same reports, yet still said ok send the troops in. So why aren't people like you spreading the blame from NOT only Bush but those in Congress on both sides of the aisle that approved the billions you keep ranting about. Or did you think that Bush can pull this off on his own and non in the Dem party are to blame. Yea, bring on Obama and every other idealistic, blowhard to the Oval Office. Once their in office, you'll see they always change from their BS beliefs to reality. Why? because the big book ole secrets gets open (so to speak) and each new president learns why we do what we do.....

True, thousands of bravemen died at Iwo Jima in defense of a cause they believe in. But taking sand/soil/ or whatever from a consecrated place like Iwo Jima for the purpose of commerce is tacky and without respect for the dead. And for those that say well Iwo is the USA's paid for with blood. I say then why aren't Normandy Vets doing the same in France? Why is it that we trample on these islands in the Pacific and desecrate the land and the sunken ships in their harbors and yet we wouldn't dream of doing the same in Italy and France?

Koreans are the nuttiest bunch on the planet. You think Palestinians riot? No way! Koreans not only riot (I say riot, because they never protest, just riot) over legitimate political issues but every other ridiculous idea anyone with a bullhorn can muster. Its raining today! Let go to the streets and riot! Blame the Americans for giving us a rainy day!!!Fact is Korea next to China makes some of the most inferior crap on the planet. Their cars are the worst example of cheap, but quality. They never learned a thing from the Japanese car makers in that light. SO fine don't buy American beef, there plenty of other hungry countries willing to buy all there is. But oh wait? How many Kias and Hyundais are on the road in the US not many. Probably less now with all the America bashing going on. Ask any Japanese would they be caught dead in a Korean car? Time we pull ALL US forces out of SKorea....

Its not surprising that the report does NOT jump to conclusions. Without solid evidence of wrong doing, the J-Gov will say that everybody is picking on poor Japan. So by merely reporting what they do know and let you the reader draw your own conclusions, the report has far more damaging effects. The world knows Japan is illegally slaughtering Whales. Reports like this help to hem Japan into a corner where they can no longer deny, deny, deny. The worlds oceans belong to the world, not Japan alone. Just like keeping the abduction (of Japanese citizens in NK) issue alive is important to Japan, many in the world feel that reports like this keep the whale slaughter issue alive and in the face of the J-Gov.

Anybody read about the Docile Coral Seal in Hawaii? It was just hunted to extinction. The first documented man made animal extinction in history. I believe(?)

Given that the source of many JT stories is Kyodo News which doesn't exactly have a stellar reputation for accuracy in news reporting, and does pander to the mob mentality, I think we should give JT a little slack since at least they are consistant. If you expect more, maybe you should be reading Yomimuri or Japan Times...

oh I'd vote for Teachers and Otaku shut-ins...Danny Choo is exempt though!

6.5 million used phones, why not send them to poor countries like cambodia/elsewhere.

I heard they were sending stolen bicycles/used japan bicycles, to help cambodia/elsewhere.

That would be because Japan Cells do not work in other cournties and are hard to crack unlike many other cellphones. You can use a US Cell in any country in Asia except Japan.

This is the same with their radio stations. Just about the time they get popular, station management lays off the DJs and revamps the whole program from scratch. Wai Wai was the only reason people read the shimbun. That fact shamed the editorial staff. Hence the backlash.

Sorry Nigelboy and others but looks like this is selective inforcement of Article 175. What about all the books stores that sell this kind of stuff. How about video stores that rent far worse....
