Possibly Clark field in Luzon Philippines. Many airlines are already building major supply and training centers there.

You know everything thing they tell you to be careful about when you travel to a foriegn country? All the things they tell you NOT to do when on vacation. Japanese ignore every last one when overseas. They throw caution to the wind. I have seen them do this in Hawaii and Guam....

I pulled down my own personal American flag years ago.

Showing your lack of patriotism and anti-american feelings won't win you any points with the average Japanese and/or Okinawain who is proud to be Japanese/Okinawain and a bit confused by the likes of your type of poster. They can hate what their government does or their military has done in the past without hating their country and what it stands for throughout history. You should consider doing that as well.

With all the outrage over the supposed discrimination against these 2 ladies, I am still wondering and waiting for the American Muslim Community to express outrage over the activities of their fellow Muslim terrorists. In private, they disavow these people, but in public they are mum. So with this in mind, shouldn't we remind these ladies that they cannot sit on the fence, by demanding their constitutional rights while quietly supporting those who would do harm to America and its freedoms.

Does it help that the women here are perhaps less aware of Western standards of attractiveness? "Talk about some offal. Charisma Man exists to be sure, but so doesn`t Chip-On-Her-Shoulder Western Woman who sees herself outdone by the more attractive/enjoyable Japanese women. This must be the Pitts for all you high-and-mighty Western women."

Out -frickin standing comment......You are my hero Pathat. It never occurs to these western femaliod types that some men find these Japanese women far more attractive than them. And why does Pitss think this way? Because deep inside, all western women think they are the highest evolution of womanhood, and all others, particularly Asian women are beneath them. Some have even had the gall the say that Japanese women marry westerners for a Visa?!? Like they are ecaping crushing poverty. Talk about sterotyping............

Yeah so what? Japan has been way ahead of the US in this cellphone game. Ever been in a Verizon wireless store in the US. Shameful. And embarassing to be an American.....My JN wife called it 1990's tech cliche

    Hughgarse,

I am sure the local Denver folks are saying why would anyone want to fly to Tokyo, when a flight to Hawaii is shorter.

JAL and ANA already add a 160 USD fuel charge to each international flight. Now they talking about 40% increase in July. If they cannot control the cost of Oil then regulators need to set a minimum fare for each overseas flight. Thats way its across the board and no one can undercut their competitor. And get rid of the these BS discounted flights too. Everyone pays their fair share. I've been on flights where I paid hundreds more than the guy next to me, who wasn't even using his air miles. Airlines are the only ones who do these yo yo price schemes. Southwest air is the most profit airline in the US. No BS discounted flights all the seats are the same.

Next to the cop who gave a suspect drenched in flammible liquid a lighter, this is the stupidest thing I have read. Dumb @ss cop could have put a big "can't miss this" sticker on the side of the luggage as an identifier, and still had a good test. At least then, customs could have halted him prior to leaving the Airport. As for me, it wouldn't matter...test or no test. Its a gov sponsored breach of trust that very easily could have cost the travelor his/her freedom or maybe their life. Money....and a few firings would definately need to happen.

That as long as Japan depends on the United States for it's security it is "forced" to share the dangers in the region as identified by the United States.

I love this one. Its as though, if the US just left all the regional geo-political problems Japan has would just dry up. Yes, friends the US came and wouldn't no matter how much we 2-3 guys said so..

If the US leaves all will be well with Japan and no one would even complain about a little whaling once a year.

Look man! Just buy our cars and stop trying to make us take responsiblity for our own actions... Oh also! Can we have a seat on the UN security counsel... please?

............And so this is the reason why your Japanese gov doesn't vote the US Mil out of Japan. See kids. It all comes full circle when you have faith and read on!

    apecNetworks

The US hasn't been focused on the Aussies since Macarthur left there to reclaim the Philipines.

    Netrek:

2 different things. Korea and Japan. Ok first, Korea gov needs the US there, the locals hate want the US out. Japan Gov wants the US in for the long haul, the locals just want the US Mil to stop victimizing their people. Apathetic about Mil staying.

And to our Philipine reporter: The PI Pres, wants the US back for Economic reasons, the PI Senate says No. The People? Been saying US please come back for decades. The locals always wanted us there, its the non-representative congress the PI has that voted the US out.. bring back Marcos!!! Just kidding.

I think many are missing the point. Words are devisive and should be carefully chosen. Dropping the general use of the N-word certainly changed succeeding generations of Americans, and that word only lives in the vocabulary of the Black community.

I guess North Korea will start building the half-meter-long mini-nukes starting next week...never see 'em coming....

NK just tested their first nuke and so you think they've jumped 20 years into the Nuclear age and can miniturize nukes the size of loafs of bread. So far only the US and Russia have that ability, maybe france or England. But NK? Thats a stretch. NK at most could hope for Scud technology that can and will get knocked out with the latest Patriot missile batteries. Never see'em coming? Huh? Over the horizon radar has been in the hands of the JSDF since the 1990s... Stop scaring people....

    Dealing with Doctors in Japan:

One huge difference. In Japan, Doctors are accepted as some kind of god and their word is bond. They don't explain things well to Japanese either. In the US, its the opposite. Funny thing is many of Japan's Doctors were trained in the US under the same system of bed side manner.

    Train seat issue:

I have dealt with this before. One thing never, ever put you hand on a Japanese unless you are Japanese or he's welding a knife. What I use is a fear of violence on them. Japanese bully each other, because they know they won't get hit. But with the Gaijin its different. They have no idea what we'll do next. SO When I have an issue with a punk kid or some selfish Salary man, I try politeness first then I lean over until I am about 1 inch from their face and I give them the big voice. Loud enough to make the hair stand up on their necks, and say Something like "I don't need to get the conductor, because you're going to move. RIGHT?" They move or what generally happens is the rest of the Japanese get their courage up and start complaining to him to move as well. Then he moves because he's embarassed and he complains for the rest of the ride. Punk kids are easy, they respect the Alpha dog, let him know you are one, and he'll move over in a second and gladly bow while he does it. Bringing to light their selfishness also brings shame on them. They will hate you for it, but respect you just the same. Why suffer in silence, and why resort to violence. Speak up! They can't throw you in jail for yelling at a Japanese...

    Sarge,

You could buy the Burma gov for a fraction of that 47.5Billion and send them packing to the carribean without any blood shed. Then spend a couple of billion in direct aid to the people and use the rest to pay off Burma's national debt and build new infrastructure to encourage foriegn investment. Properly spent in 1o years Burma could be South Korea.
